1. The Lads are a three piece Christian rock band formed in New Zealand in 1993. In early 2005 the band moved to America, and they are currently residing in Nashville, Tennessee. When discussing the move to America many of the previous members were unable to leave prior commitments in New Zealand, and major line-up changes resulted. The current line-up consists of Mark Millard (vocals), Tim Smith (guitars) and Steve King (drums). They have released a total of eight albums in their 15 year history, two of which won Gospel Album of the Year at the NZ Music Awards (Marvel and The Lads). They performed at every Parachute Music Festival from 1993-2005, earning them a cult status among many fans.
2. The Lads were a Bedford, MA indie group. The Lads played a tight skillful new wave oriented sound coupled with power pop influences. Their one and only album is soaked with bright, energetic and effectual melodies that stand up to any of the more popular acts from the early 80's. Out From The Shadows is highly recommended for the collector searching for a satisfying private press entry and desires a getaway from those more commercial offerings of the day.
3. Punk from sunny Buffalo, New York
Lost @ Sea

To live our own way - without God
We cut the ties and we began shifting
Quietly drifting out to sea
Now there's no solid ground
Where is the truth to be found
We're all just floating around and around and around
Lost as sea
Lost at sea
Lost at sea, it feels like we're dying
And we're all just trying to stay afloat
Our selfish ways are pulling us under
We're starting to wonder what when wrong
Now there's no solid ground
Where is the truth to be found
We're all just floating around and around and around
The waves are starting to pound
We're all beginning to drown
All I can hear is the sound of the voice calling out
Calling me
Calling me
All around the waters closing in and washing over me
Drifting down I'm sinking to the bottom of this story sea
Far above I think there is a light but i can hardly see
I lived my own way
But it has all gone wrong
And now there's nothing
For me to stand upon
The consequences
For who I chose to be
They're getting heavy
Like chains all over me
And now I'm sinking
Beneath this stormy sea
I'm suffocating
But I cannot be free
Can you hear me
Can you rescue me
Cause I am sinking
Jesus won't You please save me yeah
Now there's no solid ground
Where is the truth to be found
We're all just floating around and around and around
The waves are starting to pound
We're all beginning to drown
All I can hear is the sound of the voice calling out
Calling me
Lost at sea
You and me
Lost at sea
The Lads’ song Lost @ Sea is a cautionary tale about the dangers of living without God. The song discusses the idea that we often believe we can live our own ways, without any consequences or need for God. It suggests that by doing so, we are like ships without a harbor or anchor, floating aimlessly and getting pulled around by the waves. The lyrics describe how we become lost at sea, and how it feels like we're dying, as our selfish ways gradually pull us under.
The song is particularly effective in using vivid imagery to convey its meaning. The waves are starting to pound, we're all beginning to drown, and we're sinking beneath the stormy sea. The lyrics paint a clear picture of the suffocating and desperate situation that we find ourselves in when we live without God. The song ends with a plea for help, as the singer asks Jesus to save them from drowning.
Lost @ Sea is a powerful reminder of the dangers of living without God. The song uses beautiful and evocative lyrics to convey a message that is both moving and relevant. The idea that we are all lost at sea, drifting helplessly without God, is one that has resonance for many people.
