1. The LEGION's march started back in 1999 with the purpose to bring black plague, death and violence to this world. In early 2000 the demo "Bloodaeons" was recorded. This four-track blasterpiece of cold and grim black metal gained very good response when released later the same year.

In the year 2002 The LEGION entered Los Angered Recording in Gothenburg. Four new songs were recorded which resulted in a 7" vinyl / MCD entitled "Awakened Fury". This release made Listenable Rec. (Fr) interested in the band and a three album deal was inked.
The LEGION went off to famous Abyss Studios in late June 2003 to record their debut album "Unseen to Creation" together with producer Peter Tägtgren. In October the same year "Unseen…" was released on CD and on a limited, hand numbered gatefold vinyl in 500 copies.

The march continues with a European tour in 2004 and new material is being written for the second opus. During the year 2005 the follow-up to "Unseen…" is recorded, partly in the bands own studio Art Decay and partly in Endarker studio who is owned by Marduk bassist Magnus "Devo" Andersson. The new album is entitled "Revocation" and is set for release in late February 2006.

The LEGION's line-up has changed a few times during the years and today the horde consists of the three founding members Emil Drautinovic (drums), David Svartz (guitar) and Rikard Kottelin (guitar). Lately a new vocalist has been recruited, called Kjetil Hektoen (also in Enthral and Crest of Darkness). The bass is handled by session member Kristoffer Andersson of Sargatanas Reign.

2. Early 90's Bronx hip hop crew consisting of Cee-Low, Molecules, and Chucky Smash. Closely affiliated with Native Tongues group Black Sheep and DITC producer Showbiz. They released one album in 1994.

Overall Meaning

The Legion's song Awakened Fury brings to light deep and dark emotions that are hard to put into words. The first verse talks about the dreams of souls that are in agony and how they are lifted by broken wings from down below. The souls' bodies are damaged, and they tell the truth with their bleeding scars. This portrays the inner turmoil and pain that people go through, often being unable to express it in words. At times, physical scars portray the emotional scars that are inflicted, and this truth is often dismissed by others who do not understand the severity of the pain being felt.

Moving forward, the lyrics talk about how walls are now in ruins and riches have been destroyed. Traitors have been executed, and justice has been served, as the gravestones spew the names of those who have been held accountable. This signifies the feeling of vengeance; a desire to see justice being served to those who have caused immense pain and hurt. The lyrics then talk about how the pure are getting envenomed by the speeches of hypocrisy and are falsely accused as victims of divine law. This enforces how people are sometimes wrongly accused of crimes they did not commit and how laws meant to protect them can instead cause an innocent life to be taken.

Finally, the lyrics talk about how the leader of persecution continues to kill lives, imprisoning the truth with his lunacy deeds and a knife in hand with the blood of innocents. The song talks about how the leader is blinded by his desire for power, and in his pursuit of it, he does not spare innocent lives. Overall, the song talks about the need for justice, the desire to punish those who have caused immense pain, and the need to not become blind in our pursuit of power.
