The Lemonheads Lyrics

You broke my shades,
The light too bright,
Let me bury my heart.
Filter emotions of greens,
Cowardice gives blue,
A restricted view,
I have a fleeting love,
Scorching when it lands,
Fragile,
Needing precious hands,
Fragile.
You eat my energy,
Give me more rope,
Nail in the wall,
Let me hang my heart.
I have a fleeting love,
Scorching when it lands,
Fragile,
Needing precious hands,
Fragile.
The Lemonheads' song "Fragile" is a song about the vulnerabilities of love, and the emotions that are often too difficult to express. The lyrics paint a picture of a love that is easily broken, fragile, and in need of delicate care. The line, "Tears fall in slivers, you broke my shades," suggests that the singer is vulnerable and emotional, and that the person they love has caused them pain. The refrain, "I have a fleeting love, scorching when it lands, fragile, needing precious hands," suggests that the singer is aware that their love is fragile, and that it requires a delicate touch in order to thrive.
Throughout the song, there is a recurring theme of light and darkness, and of filtering emotions. This is particularly evident in the line, "Filter emotions of greens, cowardice gives blue, a restricted view, let me open my heart." This line suggests that the singer is filtering their emotions, and that they are grappling with feelings of fear and uncertainty. The idea of a "restricted view" suggests that the singer is limiting their perspective, and that they need to open their heart in order to fully experience their emotions.
Overall, "Fragile" is a complex and deeply emotional song that explores the fragility of love, and the challenges involved in expressing vulnerable emotions.
