The band formed in 1986 as an underground punk rock act. Their popularity grew during the following decade with the 1992 album It's A Shame About Ray, which was produced, engineered, and mixed by The Robb Brothers (Bruce Robb, Dee, and Joe), followed by a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson", which eventually became one of the band's most successful singles.
Throughout its various incarnations, recording and touring lineups of the band have included co-founders Ben Deily and Jesse Peretz, John Strohm (Blake Babies), Doug Trachten, Corey Loog Brennan, Byron Hoag, Ben Daughtry, Juliana Hatfield (Blake Babies), Nic Dalton (Godstar, Sneeze, The Plunderers), Dave Ryan, Patrick "Murph" Murphy (Dinosaur Jr), Bill Gibson (Eastern Dark), Mark 'Budola' Newman, Kenny Lyon, Vess Ruhtenberg, Devon Ashley, Karl Alvarez and Bill Stevenson (Descendents), P. David Hazel and various others.
Cited as one of the most important alternative rock groups, The Lemonheads were active until 1997 and went on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released The Lemonheads in the following year. The band released its latest album, Varshons, in June 2009.

The night is almost over, she can't wait
Oh, things are complicating, my love is in her hands
And there's no more waiting, she understands
The plaster's gettin' harder, and my love is perfection
A token of my love for her collection, her collection
And if you want to see my love, just ask her
And my love is the plaster, and yeah she's the collector
She wants me all the time to inject her
Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
And if you want to see my love, just ask her, ask her, ask her
The plaster's gettin' harder and my love is perfection
A token of my love for her collection, her collection
Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
If you want to see my love, just ask her, ask her
Plaster caster, plaster caster
She wants my love to last her, last her, last her
And she calls me by the name of master, master
Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
If you want to see my love, just ask her
The lyrics of "Plaster Caster" by The Lemonheads are all about a woman who is eager to possess the love of the singer, who compares his love to plaster. He talks about how the woman is anxious and can't wait for the night to end. He expresses his love for her while also describing how it is complicated. He says that his love is perfection, and he wants to give it all to her, hence, she can collect the plaster of his love. He refers to her as the "collector," a woman who wants him to inject her with his love all the time.
The chorus of the song is where most of the lyrics and the meaning behind the song come to life. The singer repeats the phrase, "Plaster caster, grab a hold of me faster," and talks about how the woman wants to see his love. He says that he's the plaster and she's the collector. The song ends with the repetition of the phrase "last her" and the woman calling the singer "master."
Overall, this song seems to be about a woman who is desperate for love and attention, and the singer is willing to give it to her. The way he talks about his love being like plaster suggests that it's something that can be molded and shaped, but it's also hard and permanent once it dries. It's a song about the power of love and how it can consume and control us.

One of a few KISS covers that I definitely prefer to the original. See also "Love Theme" and "Goin' Blind" done by the Melvins, and "Black Diamond" done by the Replacements.

Oh yes, the Melvins cover of "Goin' Blind" is almost something else in their hands...which is nice.

This is way better than Toad The Wet Sprocket's cover of "Rock And Roll All Nite". If anyone should've covered "Rock And Roll All Nite" on the "Kiss My Ass" album, it should've been Poison. I've heard Poison's cover of that song and it totally rocked!

This song and Gin Blossom's "Christine Sixteen" are far and away the best tracks on Kiss My Ass. Honestly pretty much everything else on that album is trash.

Man, I hear that! I was always rocking out to Kiss, Motley Crue, Warrant, Poison, Scorpions, GNR, you name it, I was rocking out to it. Headbanging, playing air-guitar, everything. I'm proud to be an old-school Metalhead.
