yeah, she's a little on the "thiccer side" (in layman's terms), but that's a good thing. It means she has a lot of muscle mass and that means it's pretty easy to haul a drowning person back to shore

I was a lifeguard at an indoor facility. It's a great job but physically and mentally taxing.

I could not imagine being an open-water life guard. It's a completely different game!

I'm also glad that she highlighted feminine health, hygiene, moisturizing, hydrating, eating, etc...

As a former lifeguard.. that racoon eye tan is a killer. You've gotta keep switching up styles of sunglasses. I also used to use a straight bronzer on my eyes and sides of my face which worked great to 'hide' the tan lines. On days off, I would just lay in the sun with lots of sunblocks and try to correct the face tan. Lifeguarding is the BEST.

Crazy how a woman can showcase her respectable, interesting job yet the first thing people comment on is her body and if it's up to their standards. Her body is none of your business. I highly HIGHLY doubt if it was a man there would be such a debate if she's considered attractive enough. I'm a personal trainer and her body wasn't even a thought for me.

@HlGH FlVE I'm pretty sure if that were the case she wouldn't be a life guard. An active job like that especially to save lives requires a heavy duty body. Because you need strength and stanima to stay swimming to pull people out the water. In an unpredictable environment like the ocean. I'm pretty sure we can both agree on is she is definitely not built like a tooth pick, and clearly not big enough to where she wouldn't be qualified for her current job. The ocean is no joke.

I was in a lifeguarding class with about 20 other people. There were people of all body types. The people who could MOST EFFECTIVELY push and pull the back board out of the water with the most care were the muscular people. This shouldn’t be a case of “Does she looks cute saving someone?” It’s “Can she save someone in the first place?” I’m not saying there is a right or wrong body. In my experience participating in a lifeguard training class and CONSIDERING someone would have to swim and manipulate my 150 pounds in water and on land in order to save my life, I would feel more secure with a woman like her guarding a beach.

Oh wauw I did this while I was a teenager in the summers. We worked really hard and you can't working there without any papers and training. Thank you for calling it a joke.. I really didn't find it so funny when i was rescuing a kid or people who drunk to much and decided they still could swim very well.

And of course we have a lot of fun to. But don't underestimate us. And were I come from we are very underpayed. Most of the beaches who have lifeguards are runned by volunteers. Yes we are standing there day in and day out... For free.

@HlGH FlVE, dude, why don't you just enjoy the video and stop judging. Bodies come in all sorts of different sizes and configurations. Some girls will eat nothing but junk, but still be labeled as 'fit' because of their small proportions. Here, you are doing the opposite. This woman obviously lives a very active, healthy lifestyle. You can see it in the health of her skin, her hair, and her body. Just because she has a little more to her, doesn't mean its fat. Depending on ethnicity, and general genetics, people process nutrients and fat storage in different ways and areas. This woman could probably beat you in any amount of physical competitions. Also, life guarding is fulfilling and fun work, it it seems to be something she really enjoys. It also pays better than you probably think. And by the way, if you don't think she is anything special, why did you spend 20 minutes of your life watching her? Please, just leave your negativity at home, and enjoy the video.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that this bueatiful strong athletic woman has my body type(former competitive swimmer)!!!! Seeing someone who is obviously in peak athletic shape but has a real lifeguards body not what hollywwod(baywtch)thinks an athletic lifeguards body looks like is sooo awesome. I mean I know it sounds dumb but seeing images like this can be so empowering for women and girls who have this body type.. one a lot of society thinks is "being out of shape" but is actauly strong powerful athletic body!!!

I was a life guard for 6 years, and it got really bad at the end. There was a lifeguard shortage, and there were less and less breaks. I went 6 hours without a bathroom break one time. Please, if you decide to become a lifeguard, try to find a place that allows you to take regular breaks! It’s for safety!

As someone who lives in the North of Canada who worked as a pool lifeguard for years I definitely remember the first time I actually understood the importance of the standard of reverse and ready approach because of panicked people's potential to drown you. I remember in training it seemed silly. The idea of a lifeguard at a public beach seems so wild to us. I guessjust Canada is so vast and there are so few beaches densely populated enough for it to make sense. I apologise for all the Canucks like me who forget how important your job is and see outdoor lifeguards as a novelty. Logically we know how important your job is (I worked as a lifeguard for years) but the only time we've ever seen it is in archie comics so I'm sorry. You rock and you're an everyday hero! At a certain point you've done so many saves they all blur together in your memory but the people you've saved never forget you. It sucks that people are embarrassed about almost drowning and run and hide when you're trying to check their vitals, people do the same thing when they choke. Wish they didn't.

Organizations like the Reef Restoration Foundation have coral reef nurseries trying to bring back one of the most vital pieces of the ocean's ecosystem. Do you think I'm asking you to buy 20 dollar sunscreen?? No, I personally use Ocean Potion which is equally-priced to companies like Coppertone and Hawaiian Tropic and I found it at WALMART.
