Almost midnight
The Lost Crew Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

silent wingbeats, from a tree to a roof top nearby
putting a mute on the traffic noice
caressing the air like a comforting hand when someone's crying
sharp eyes on the drunken boys

natures own police inspector
I can see it all on my traffic light projector
screaming out your name,
it will never be the same
as life will change

Almost midnight, I am lost in my thoughts
all this time,
thinking of you, and what we use to do
reflecting for hours cant sleep but im tired

I cant go on now,
Sharp eyes, and they understand

Overall Meaning

The first verse of The Lost Crew's song, Almost Midnight, describes the scene of a silent night bird making its way from a tree to a nearby rooftop, muting the noise from the traffic down below. Its wingbeats are described as being caressing of the air, silencing everything like a comforting hand would on someone crying. The second half of the verse talks about the sharp eyes of the bird being able to monitor the drunken boys. The bird is described as the "nature's own police inspector" which can see it all on its traffic light projector.

The lyrics of the chorus "screaming out your name, it will never be the same as life will change" is a representation of the restlessness and uncertainty of the singer's life. The second verse of the song represents the restlessness of the singer continuing to think about the person and what they used to do. The singer reflects on their relationship and the moments they shared. The lyrics depict the singer struggling to move on from the relationship with the person in question. The last two lines reflect that the sharp eyes mentioned in the first verse understand what the singer is going through.

The cars with the lock symbols can be won from a very range inducing tournament. You can’t win the skyline but you can win an evo 8 I believe from a pink slip in the hills.
