They ended up leaving Bad Boy over financial disputes with record boss P. Diddy and were snapped up by the DMX-led Ruff Ryders. At that time they released We Are The Streets with the stand-out singles "Wild Out" and "Ryde or Die, Bitch". They expanded their group with the inclusion of new member, Jae Hood, and are now known as D-Block.
For a time, Diddy owned their publishing. They reinstated their beef with him even after performing together at Jay-Z's I Declare War concert; recently, however, Jadakiss and Styles P. appeared on popular NY radio station Hot 97.1 to plead for their publishing rights, a request which was granted.
As individual artists, each member of D-Block has released at least one album. Jadakiss released Kiss The Game Goodbye and Kiss of Death, Sheek Louch, Walk Witt Me and After Taxes, and Styles P., A Gangster and a Gentleman and Time Is Money. Jadakiss, one of the self proclaimed "top five dead or alive", has been the most commercially successful with singles "Knock Yourself Out", "We Gonna Make It", "Put Ya Hands Up", and "Why?"; Styles P. has released "Good Times (I Get High)", "Can you Believe It" featuring Akon, and "My Life" and Sheek Louch "Mighty D-Block (2 Guns Up)" and "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye".
In 2002-2003, Jadakiss and later the rest of The Lox were embroiled in a beef with Roc-a-Fella Records artist Beanie Sigel and the label head, Jay-Z. Today all parties have made peace.
Currently, they have dramatically increased their exposure and popularity and are frequently featured on mixtapes. They are now beefing with G-Unit after 50 Cent dissed Jadakiss for appearing on 50's nemesis, Ja Rule, single, "New York". The feud has grown to encompass both groups. Jadakiss responded to 50's "Piggy Bank" with "Checkmate". 50 came back with "I Run New York" and a video for "Piggybank", which dissed Jadakiss, Nas, Kelis, Fat Joe, *The Game (rapper). Styles and Jada released "Problem Child" directly aimed at 50 Cent. "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye" was released by Sheek Louch and featured Fabolous, Beanie Sigel, The Game and Jadakiss. Lloyd Banks has announced on his upcoming album "Rotton Apple" there will be a diss track aimed at Fat Joe and D-Block named "Death Wish". More recently, D Block went all out on G Unit with the song "Shots Fired," a song whose chorus recommends murdering 50 Cent and G Unit.

L-O-X
Damn baby make your mind up for-real
You going to love me or leave me alone?
[Verse One Sheek Louch]
When we first met you knew that I was still in the streets
Our first time at the movies I was carrying heat
Made a living off of bagging up coke
Hit that Louie store get two of whatever you want
Cop that speedy and that Louie monogram in the front
Then I got famous, signed with Puff
You was happy but still hated my tours and stuff
Every bitch that I took a picture with, conspicuous
Text message you ain't shit, and who is this
It was all love back in the days, until I blew up
But you don't understand my ways
[Hook 1 Sheek Louch]
Ayo Kiss I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
Ayo Styles I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
[Verse Two Styles P]
Mellow off the la la, leaving is not an option
Cool like Melo and La La when we be rockin'
Shit get bad we like Stevie J and Joseline
Starring at the dolphins, playing some Jannis Joplin
Hotel balcony, OT arguing
She ain't budging nigga and I ain't bargaining
I'm so high I forgot why we was arguing
I'm just trying to make up
Make love and fuck, fuck and make love
Then I'm chilling on the tub, weed bud to break up
Love is so much I ain't trying to break up
Sometimes she be tripping the minute I wake up
[Hook Two Styles P]
Ayo Sheek I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
Ayo Kiss I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
[Verse Three Jadakiss]
Sometimes the easiest way is just to let go
Sex after the argument is usually the best though
Brining up shit I did in the past, that's stressful
It's all good though, as long as them checks flow
You know what they say when you search you find something
That groupie shit is old school, not something?
Sit down, have a convo, mine fuck them
Pack my bags, spend the rest of my time puffing
I could take the bruises, not the accusing
? that you using, becoming amusing
Screaming and shouting, frowning and pouting
It ain't that hard, just love me or be out then
[Hook Three Jadakiss]
Ayo Styles I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
Ayo Sheek I got a girl that's bad
But she don't understand my ways
Arguing days after days after days
Well I could dig it
The Lox's "Love Me or Leave Me Alone" tackles the theme of relationships in a unique way. The song details the internal conflicts that each member of the group faces in their respective love lives. Sheek Louch, in the first verse, admits that his lifestyle as a drug dealer was accepted by his partner at the time, but his fame and touring became a bone of contention. Styles P in the second verse describes the cyclical nature of his disagreements and how sometimes after a fight, he just wants to make love and move on. Finally, in the third verse, Jadakiss encourages his partner to communicate and not use old mistakes as ammunition during arguments. The chorus, performed by each member, highlights that in spite of the struggles faced in their relationships, they must be loved unconditionally.
The lyrics showcase that even famous and wealthy individuals struggle with maintaining relationships. Love, in general, can be hard - and oftentimes requires compromise, understanding, and open communication. The artists' honesty and vulnerability in the lyrics make the song relatable, especially as many who have been through similar situations understand the struggles with balancing life and love.
