Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from

The motherfuckin' land, get it straight
Boy, you will get scraped
Bitch, I'm from the motherfuckin' land of the apes
Get the fuck out my face (Bitch)
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm blowin' strong
E'rywhere I go (E'rywhere I go), everyday, everybody know
In my hood, motherfuckers get it on

Puttin' on for the city like Snowman
'Cause in my city I don't snow, man
And that ain't no diss to Jeezy
'Cause Jeezy know what's up, believe
That's my nigga back in Puerto Rico
'Fore the rap shit popped, we were talkin' kilos
Had a Puerto Rican bitch and I pulled the plug
Big bottle on numbers and we call him Nino
Yo, one ounce and a pound back in north Memphis
I'm a north Memphis nigga till I die, dawg
Yeah, motherfuck a suit and tie, dawg
We don't wear our hats to the back with the five, dawg
Bang, put the plug on chill
Told 'em I ain't through yet, hell naw, I ain't retire, dawg
I just want a piece of mind, dawg
Why you hatin' on a nigga from the city? Lemme shine, dawg

E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on

Where I'm from

(East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999

I be drivin' all the foreign cars 'til the day I die
Fuckin' all the foreign hoes 'til the day I die
Went to hit the dealer, then a nigga drove it out
When 'em doors go up, all them panties fallin' down
Niggas ain't know me then, but 'em niggas know me know
When I pull up in the Benz, all the jewels drippin' down
I be fuckin' up arenas, all 'em hoes singin' now
I be fuckin' with them boys that lift you off the ground
I stand out, spent a hun'ed racks to put the band on it
Shawty bendin' it over, let me land on it
Grabbin' brown bags, Uncle Sam, homie
Got the pussy jumpin', dove a HAM on it
Young nigga goin' hard
If you talk about them cars, fuck y'all like the dealer
Now, I did it for my dawgs
I be smokin' out the jar like a dreadlock, haann

Ay, Bleed, keep puttin' on
I said keep puttin' on, Ray been puttin' on
See, I bossed wit' my mans wit' the plug, put 'em on
In the plug, put 'em on, yeah

Yeah, East Side for life
I'm a real Cleveland legend, I'm a ride 'til the day I die
Get high, bury me with my chrome .45
Now tell me, now tell me, do that sound familiar?
If you from Cleveland, you all are familiar
If you get money, one hundred, you know that we feelin' you

Hold up, bitch, I'm from the land and y'all know that
Y'all never should have let me go back
Even when I didn't had no plaque
I was court side in the Cavaliers throwback
I was only nineteen ridin' up Miles
Back when I was nineteen turnin' up wild
I was in the flats when the land slanged goals
Ridin' up Satchel when them boys slanged hoes
I was on the clear when L came down
Leavin' out of work, on to rap it downtown
I was in the club when they played "We Ball"
And I repped my hood and everybody started brawlin'
Back when I was sixteen, I was spittin' sixteen
Hoppin' up the Blue Line on 116
Tryin' to get my fifteen minutes of fame, shit changed
Now I'm on the big screen like...

Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999

Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from the land

Overall Meaning

The song "Part 1" by The Machine Feat. Niko Potocnjak & Horst Porkert is an ode to the artists' hometowns and their rise to success. The lyrics are filled with references to where they are from and the struggles they faced to get to where they are. The repeated line "Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999" is a reference to Bone Thugs-n-Harmony's album "East 1999 Eternal," which was released in 1995 and put Cleveland on the map in the rap world.

The second verse pays homage to Young Jeezy and his connection to Puerto Rico, while also referencing the drug trade that often goes hand in hand with the music industry. The artists take pride in representing their city and putting on for their neighborhoods. They also don't shy away from bragging about their success and the luxurious lifestyle they lead.

Overall, "Part 1" is a song about where the artists came from and how they made it to where they are now. It's a celebration of their hometowns and a reflection of the struggles they faced to get to where they are.

I am putting on for my city like the rapper Snowman, but I don't actually sell cocaine. This does not insult Jeezy, who does rap about cocaine and who I know from Puerto Rico. Before I got into music, I would talk with Jeezy about selling kilos. I also had a girlfriend from Puerto Rico, and we referred to our large drug distributor as Nino.

Yo, one ounce and a pound back in north Memphis I'm a north Memphis nigga till I die, dawg
When I lived in north Memphis, selling drugs was common and I would sell one ounce or even one pound of drugs. I am loyal to my hometown.

Yeah, motherfuck a suit and tie, dawg We don't wear our hats to the back with the five, dawg
I do not want to conform to the typical corporate world with suits and ties. In my culture, we wear our hats backwards with the five fingers of our hand, or in a gang sign.

Bang, put the plug on chill Told 'em I ain't through yet, hell naw, I ain't retire, dawg I just want a piece of mind, dawg Why you hatin' on a nigga from the city? Lemme shine, dawg
I have paused my drug dealing for now, but I haven't retired completely. I just want some peace of mind. Why are people hating on me trying to make it out of the city? Let me do my thing.

Where I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
I am emphasizing, again, that I come from East 1999 in the year 9999.

I be drivin' all the foreign cars 'til the day I die Fuckin' all the foreign hoes 'til the day I die Went to hit the dealer, then a nigga drove it out When 'em doors go up, all them panties fallin' down
I will keep driving luxury cars and having sex with foreign women for the rest of my life. I once went to a car dealership and left with a car without paying for it. When I open the doors to my car, women are instantly dropping their panties.

Niggas ain't know me then, but 'em niggas know me know When I pull up in the Benz, all the jewels drippin' down I be fuckin' up arenas, all 'em hoes singin' now I be fuckin' with them boys that lift you off the ground
People did not know me before, but now they do. When I drive up in my Mercedes-Benz, all my jewelry sparkles and impresses. I am performing in arenas and making women sing along. I have connections with men who have money and can lift you off the ground.

I stand out, spent a hun'ed racks to put the band on it Shawty bendin' it over, let me land on it Grabbin' brown bags, Uncle Sam, homie Got the pussy jumpin', dove a HAM on it
I stand out because I spent a hundred thousand dollars to have a live band with me. Women are bending over and I am landing on them. I am grabbing bags of money, thanks to Uncle Sam. Women are excited and I am going ham.

Young nigga goin' hard If you talk about them cars, fuck y'all like the dealer Now, I did it for my dawgs I be smokin' out the jar like a dreadlock, haann
I am a young man striving for success. If you are not talking about cars and money, I do not want to hear it. I am doing all this for my friends. I am smoking marijuana and am so good at it that I'm like a Rastafarian.

Ay, Bleed, keep puttin' on I said keep puttin' on, Ray been puttin' on See, I bossed wit' my mans wit' the plug, put 'em on In the plug, put 'em on, yeah
My friend Bleed should keep working hard and impressing. Ray has been impressing too. I have hired and worked with my friends so that we can all make money together. I have connected them with the plugs, or drug suppliers.

Yeah, East Side for life I'm a real Cleveland legend, I'm a ride 'til the day I die Get high, bury me with my chrome .45 Now tell me, now tell me, do that sound familiar? If you from Cleveland, you all are familiar If you get money, one hundred, you know that we feelin' you Hold up, bitch, I'm from the land and y'all know that Y'all never should have let me go back
I will always represent the East Side of Cleveland and I am a true legend from there. I will never give up my lifestyle of getting high and carrying a gun. Does this sound familiar to you? If you're from Cleveland or have money, you should understand. Remember that I come from the land, and that it was a mistake to let me go back.

Hey Dafuq. I know you get a lot of random repost comments, and I’m sure this will get drowned out by “like for the work this man is doing” etc. but I just wanted to share something from a regular, adult ass viewer, who actually looks forward to every episode.

This series has given me something to look forward to during this awful winter and my seasonal depression. I will be so sad when the series ends, but I am so grateful for the adventures you’ve taken us on through these months. I can feel the series coming to a close soon, so I just wanted to let you know, from one Gmod obsessed guy to another (1,700+ hours personally)

Thank you. Thank you for the red eye nights setting up the perfect particles, the old videos that now fill my brain at 3am, and most of all,

Thank you for staying true to your art form and giving this new generation the same love of Garry’s mod that I had in 2016.

I just can’t believe I might get to show Garry’s Mod to my future kids, and that’s because you’ve made something universal that everyone of all ages and all languages can enjoy, and it’s all implied context. Some of the best writing on the planet and it’s about a toilet singing a remixed version of a song.

Thank you Dafuq. For all of it.
