@Come_on_aileeen Love the music (has so much potential if done right) but can't stand his thin voice. Hearing it done with someone with actual vocal abilities makes a big difference. There's a lot of pop music stars that have very little vocal ability. And a few with tremendous ability. And a lot that hide behind great music! Take the amplifier away from this guy and it would sound pathetic. This song is utterly hypnotic in its cyclical design. And the way it starts....just slides into your consciousness. Very unique. I just wish more people did the cover. Lucky for him not many do....it wouldn't be good for him! Wouldn't take much to completely eclipse him. In the classical world this guy would be laughed off the stage. If he wrote it he's a genius though.

I stand corrected. A lot of people do this cover and do it very well. Heard a pile when I was curious and searched. Both male and female impart their talents and there are some magnificent renditions out there, almost all better than the original. But we have to hand it to the brilliant people that first put it together! Why do composers think they are the best available to perform their own music? What are the chances of that? 1 in a billion? Focus on what you do best and pour all your energy into that for the best reward.

Problem is with today's society every radio would refuse to air this kind of music cause it's not dynamic enough. And it sucks. So I totally agree with you, I miss this kind of music, and I miss the days when artists could still know success with these musics.

@Gab & Music It blows my mind that we still have to listen to what they deem to be up and coming or "hot". I will never get over the fact that the radio has become a place saturated with the same songs by the same artists and somehow that is a good thing. So many incredibly talented bands go overlooked or end up criminally under-supported because they dont get enough exposure due to radio and television stations being run by greedy execs who take money from record companies to play their artists songs over and over. These same execs who lack style or taste turn around and hire MC's who work like robots that play the same songs over and over night after night. If youre lucky youll hear something theyre easing into the rotation once but sadly, if its good or even if its just popular it will eventually become one of the songs that gets repeated over and over. These MC's dont have any personality or sense of style and they just take the top 40 or maybe even a playlist selected for them and click play... when its time for commercial the program pauses the music and plays the commercial... These DJs who should be talking about musicans and what theyre doin or they should be updating the public with information about tours that are coming to the city you live in or around. Why cant they give someone like me a block of airtime in the evening and just let me do my thing? I would have a segment to introduce local musicians once a month or every other week so that people can learn about music theyre able to see locally and it would encourage people to work on their craft and maybe start playing solo or with a band. Then I would have a segment where i talk about whatever bands or artists are on tour and let everyone know the dates and venues so they dont get blindsided when one of their favorite bands from the 90s pops up in town but they didnt buy tickets or make plans so they miss out on something that would support a local venue and a band, two things that really should be thriving but could always use a pickup or boost. Then finally I would have a segment where i play new or newish music that my friends and i think is cool. Bands and/or Solo acts that deserve more attention that could benefit from a few people checking them out and spreading the world... then if the show got big enough id have interviews and have artist perform in the studio. We live in an age where musicians have the ability to record, mix master engineer and produce a quality record from a home studio that can be built for a fraction of what studios used to cost in the 60s through the 90s and early 2000s... with more people recording and more talent being exibited how is it that we end up hearing some corny DJ blab about the sponsors then play the same 20 songs or less by the same artists all day long as if thats the only music that exists... as if somehow your air time has nothing to do with your style, talent, and ability and everything to do with how much coin you shell out to the "struggling" station. Something needs to be done... we're suffering as consumers and so is the average listener that listens and doesnt venture into the unknown in search of more like we do... lets get me a DJ job at a local station in my home town and i'll push push push to cover more and more area until im national.... im confident that im more than qualified for the job even beyond my music taste which just in the contemporary sphere spans from D'angelo to Tame Impala or Kanye West to The Alabama Shakes but people could hear bands like *repeat repeat*, St. Paul and the Broken Bones or Tom Misch then maybe some new rnb that doesnt get the love it deserves like HER, SiR, DVSN, Frank Ocean or Miguel to name a few.. thats just scrating the very large surface. I more than look the part and my style is a reflection of who i am. I wear my kevlar riding jeans and a band t shirt or a vintage firestone, harley davidson or NGK t shirt under my vintage leather biker jacket not to be stylish but because my main transportation is one of two motorcycles a 70s Panhead Harley bobber/chopper with a ton of personality that i ride a lot and a Ducati Monster when i want something sporty and quick. my car for when its raining or i take a girl on a date, is a vintage black 90s e class mercedes with gumby playing guitar hanging from the rear view. Im a goodlooking guy... my current girlfriend only dated women for 3 years and eased her way back from the lady pond for me so my looks and charisma/personality have to be worth something... given it was my honesty and the fact that I always do the right thing even if its not the easy or popular thing to do. I used to have hair to my shoulders with ringlet curls on the end that were natural at this point in my life i looked like James Franco's character Saul from Pineapple Express but i cut my hair short and edgy and im rocking the "van dyke" facial hair at the moment which is a mustache with the soul patch and a little stubble just for the dont give a damn flair...then red or black doc martens or if im feeling super edgy and confident ill slip on my black and white snakeskin boots that i found with just the right amount of wear at a thrift in atlanta for 25 dollars. I have a few tattoos most cool some stupid that one of my friends either shares with me or has something that has to do with it. Im also a former/sort of current local musician that knows the community. To let you know who i associate with and my lifestyle so you can see im perfect for this kind of thing. My ex girlfriend is a popular bartender in a popular bar downtown and has a full sleeve with bugs and vines with a ton of other tattoos that i wont name because theyd take too long however the most noteworthy of them all is a very large depiction of the trickster demon "malphas" on her torso. She had half pink half purple hair but i havent seen her in a while so i dont know what color it is currently because we always go back and forth for whatever reason... shes an INCREDIBLY TALENTED local sculptor/painter that has won numerous awards including a scholarship for talent that only 3 people from her entire art program received ... shes also incredibly beautiful with a perfect hourglass frame and emerald green eyes that turn gold in the sun... I described her so you would get an idea of who i spend my time with and see that im not just another random cheesy guy who wants to be a DJ because "i really love music tee hee" noooo dammit i want to be a DJ so i can mold and transform radio into what it deserves to be for the listeners and the artists which would be good for sponsors. Commercial spots would sell qucik because my show would be an event... not just the next slot that sounds like the last guy who always sounds super cheesy like hes trying to hard and wants you to like him so bad... I want it to be something that is used as a forum and plaform for talent of all levels as well as a free space open to discussion on said talent a place we car the publics feelings on many different types of music... hopefully people will eventually realize that you dont have to listen to one or certain types of music to fit in... you should listen to anything and everything you enjoy listening to while giving things a chance before you pre judge them based on something other than their sound and what they offere musically. The station would also have an only forum where everyone is welcome to join discussions and no one is ridiculed or turned away for any reason. We need something like this desperately and with support i can make it happen... i'll fight for it because the current system has cared about.. now we dont even bother listening to the radio... we skip it and go straight to our playlist. Which is okay i suppose but that just puts you in your comfort zone and allows you to pick and choose from songs and artists you alread know. You wont ever hear something new that you may like or hear about something that you may be interested in attending... You hear your same old songs you pic just like the same old top 40... They turned an incredible medium that was once something we listened to intently for everything from the nightly news to entertainment... What the hell has happened to our beloved airwaves... PLEASE...lets get me on the RADIO... i could start a wave pun most definitely intended...

I think the car is a metaphor for a relationship breaking down and the road is physical entanglement between the two. When the chick says "I'm not there yet," obviously she hasn't climaxed; it shows that they don't have the intimate connection needed for a real relationship. They are in lust, and the secret that can't remain a secret is the strength of their lust and the fact that they are not in love or have fallen out of love with each other. =] I love this song. What I love about Maroon 5 is that you have the feeling that these guys - including Adam - are really talented musicians. They don't "hide" their songs behind loud acoustics. Very jazzy, hot, sensual - I could listen to them all day. With Coldplay, the best ban out there right now.

Ah the nostalgia of this song, I think this and Ragdoll were B-Sides to the Harder to Breathe single and that was the first single I ever bought with my own money. Anyways I used to listen to this and Ragdoll on long bus journeys into town so much that the memory of me looking out of the windows on the bus has imprinted on my mind whenever I listen to it. Yesterday I was on the bus to work and this came on shuffle and it was like I was that kid on the bus again, just wth a different view. Going nowhere.

Every big fen of theirs is asking: what happened to this band in 2015 like "This Summer's Gonna Hurt", "Sugar", WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM

I will tell you what happened: They come from deep, they are talented, they are spiritual and they sing what they have in their soul... Remember they still don't have success. After a couple of years of being on top of the world that decease sneaks in that soul of theirs... It changes them and their spiritual level gets low and they do not have access to inspiration like before.
Also they are pushed by their record companies do this not to do that and this is what happens...
Soulless music, making people soulless :)
It happened to a lot of big artists especially after 2000 :)
This is no coincidence - music after all is really touching our subconscious and changing our habbits so be careful what you listen, be careful of their lyrics they can change you :)
