Here Comes Santa Claus
The Mills Brothers Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
are pulling on the reins.
Bells are ringing, children singing;
All is merry and bright.
Hang your stockings and say your prayers,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

Here comes Santa Claus!
Here comes Santa Claus!
Right down Santa Claus Lane!
He's got a bag that is filled with toys
for the boys and girls again.
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
What a beautiful sight.

Jump in bed, cover up your head,
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight.

This is an AMAZING version of this song. I love the Mills Bros, and have no idea how I missed this one all these years. The arrangement is awesome, and the boys are rockin! Listen to all the accents and punctuation in the music. The outro is so modern that I thought this must be some much later re-mix of an earlier version. This needs to be a standard Christmas go to track. Thanks for posting!

At least it's NOT hip-hopped beyond recognition; these guys are among the most likely to have their music sampled.

I am hearing this at least twice a day on both Sonic and Sirius XM's Holiday Traditions; it's a pity that KOST 103.5 doesn't play the Mills Bros. as their listeners (the older ones, anyway) would have little trouble recognizing their voices.
