2. The Moments - had only one major pop hit with "Love on a Two Way Street" except in the UK where 'Girls', 'Dolly My Love' and 'Jack In The Box' all charted.They had many years of successful singles on the R&B charts. The Moments who are originally from Washington, D.C.with Mark Greene also had an underground hit with "Not on the Outside" which was accepted my local listeners instantly!

Later in the mid-80's, The Moments became Ray, Goodman & Brown, changed labels (Polydor) and garnered a few more hits, most noted the track "Special Lady".

Lead singer Harry Ray died in 1992, and was replaced by Kevin Owens, who sung as one of Luther Vandross' background vocalists. Bass singer Al Goodman died in 2010.

9:30 is still one of my favorite bits in any song ever. It still makes me laugh so hard. The first time I heard it was summer 1996, I was 11 and my local radio station was doing its “Saturday night at the 70s” block. The main riff was directly taken from “Chic-Good Times” released in 1979 which was a huge hit at the time. It’s a disco classic. Absolutely love Grandmaster Flash but the real credit goes is to Bernard Edwards & Nile Rodgers who actually wrote and produced the music.

@Sunshine96818 memorizing the full 15 minutes is definitely something any kid will remember just because of the pace and time so there's no doubt they'll be saying the same thing and reflecting on those times as a great memory. Even though right now to them it may not seem like much but its usually the little stuff that is the most memorable. I've had some questionable experiences since he's been gone such as a pillow being pushed off the couch and my electronics and radio in my car doing what they please. I even was watching a YouTube video with my earbuds in and I heard his voice say my name and when I reversed the video to see if it was a fluke thing it turned out that what I had heard clear as day was not in the video at all.
We all need to make sure when our time comes we haunt our children in a way where they will sit and go damn you mom or damn you dad I know that was you, I know you're messing with me 🙂

Hello, I am 14 years old but I like music from all around the 20th century so I wanted to ask you.. by any chance did you listen to Glenn Miller when you were little and also, since you lived through a lot of different musical eras, how were the transitions from one era to another, like were they sudden or were they gradual. I know that sometime in the 60s the hippies came alive and changed the era to more uhhh.. what would be the word.. aggressive? music. To be honest I don't really know that much about the 60s I mainly focus on Glenn Miller in the 40s and Benny Goodman and then for me I don't personally like music from the 50s that much like I am not really into, for example, Elvis Presley because in my opinion his songs were too corny and I just I felt like the harmonies that Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman used were much more advanced and the lyrics were more.. poetic. What I do know about the 60s though is that The Beatles came alive but I think that was mid to late 60s. Anyways I also like music from the 70s and 80s but don't really know that much about the 90s. I do like songs like "September" by Earth Wind and Fire or "Get Down On It" and uh.. let's see.. I don't know "Too Hot" and uh.. "Steppin' Out" by Kool & The Gang. But all of that is irrelevant I just wanted to ask you what was it like living in the 20th century, what were some major changes in life in general like when did people start using computers, how did restaurants change because I know, from movies like Orchestra Wives, that restaurants used to be a lot more elegant or at least it would seem that way. I know that in the 40s everything seemed like it was more formal, at least in movies, but was it actually that way and if it was when did things change like when did people start to become less elegant.. Basically how did we get from how it was in the 40s to like eddy murphy in Beverly Hills Cop? Thank you if you do answer and the reason I ask is because I was born in the US but all of my family was born in Argentina in South America, so I can't really ask my parents or grand parents what it was like because they didn't live in the US. I don't know if you are from the US but if you're not just try to answer the questions as best as you can. Again thank you and I hope you have a good day.

In every Genre there is a song you think of and it stands out as that Genres Anthem. This Song is the Anthem for Hip Hop but also for the future rappers, as well as for Any form of Dance; whether it be House, Industrial and others. Listening to it as a fan and not a music industry person, I hear everything. It moves me, I want to sing or wrap it and it will go down as one of the Biggest Music gifts to an era that was musically going in many ways.
