Nights In White Satin
The Moody Blues & The London Festival Orchestra Lyrics

Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Gazing at people, some hand in hand
Just what I'm going through they can't understand
Some try to tell me, thoughts they cannot defend
Just what you want to be, you will be in the end
And I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I've always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can't say any more
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
The Moody Blues' "Nights In White Satin" is a beautiful and powerful love song that expresses the depth of the singer's love for their partner. The singer begins by describing the endlessness of their love, using the metaphor of nights in white satin that never reach the end. They confess to writing letters they never intended to send, which suggests a depth of longing and passion that the singer is too hesitant to express through direct communication.
The singer then reflects on how their perspective on beauty has changed since falling in love, suggesting that they had not truly appreciated the beauty around them until they experienced love. They acknowledge that they cannot fully understand or explain their feelings, but they know that they love their partner unconditionally. The singer also expresses a sense of isolation and confusion in their situation, feeling that other people cannot understand what they are going through.
Overall, "Nights in White Satin" is a beautiful and poignant love song that captures the complexity and intensity of human emotions. It conveys a sense of endlessness, confusion, and longing that many people can relate to when experiencing love.

Having heard the original for centuries, the last 2 minutes of this live makes me almost wanna cry. What an incredible orchestra! An excellent version!

Same here. The original version became an instant classic. Now this new version, taken to another level. Amazing 🥲
@brianvogt8125
The orchestral arrangement is very closely based on the original by Peter Knight who died way back in 1985. It's impossible to improve on perfection.
