Leaving their bucolic ice-land, they trekked to Provo, Utah with only their feet to carry them. The result of their 11 month journey to Utah Valley was a renewed sense of wonder and enough know-how to get them a weekly slot at the local open mic.
It didn't take long for word of their matching hair and musical prowess to spread and soon The Moth & The Flame had officially formed.
It's You

And I tried to fix it with
A temporary measure to keep it together
But it fell apart in another man's hands
It's you
It's you
It's you that I want
It's you
Doing ordinary things
Like going to the cinema
Or working in the park
But the movie theather
It was empty and cold
And asking ...
Made me think of travelling off the coast
With you
With you
With you at the wheel
With you
Cause it's you
It's you
It's you that I want
It's you
And all that I want
I don't have
And all that I want
I don't have
And all that I want
I don't have
It's you that I want
It's you that I want
It's you that I want
The song "It's You" by The Moth & The Flame is a song of longing and romantic yearning. The lyrics speak of a heart that was once whole but has since been broken, and the temporary measures that have been taken to try and fix it. The singer of the song has tried to distract themselves from their pain by doing ordinary things like going to the cinema or working in the park, but these activities only make them feel more isolated and alone. The only thing that can truly fix their broken heart is the love of a particular person, the one they want above all else.
The line "It's you that I want" is repeated multiple times throughout the song, emphasizing the singer's infatuation with this special person. The image of travelling off the coast with this person suggests a desire for adventure and escape, a longing to be with this person in far-off places. The final three lines – "And all that I want / I don't have / It's you that I want" – bring the song to a poignant conclusion, underscoring the sense of loss and longing that runs throughout the lyrics.
Overall, "It's You" is a song about the power of love to heal and transform us, and the deep ache that comes from wanting someone who is just out of reach.
