The Call
The Museum Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I can feel this on the table
I can taste the moment's near
I can see the stakes are rising
Yeah, this is the war
Now our time is here

We shine brighter and love bigger
Run to the dark
And we carry Your heart
To the lost and broken
We'll embrace our rescue mission
To live out your heart in the depths of the dark
For the lost and broken

I can feel the waters rising
I can see the tide is here
We are broken and beaten
Tired and weakened
Will we run, will we hide or
Will we stand, will we fight
When will we get up and answer the call

We shine brighter and love bigger
We'll run to the dark
And we carry Your heart
To the lost and broken
We'll embrace our rescue mission
To live out your heart in the depths of the dark
For the lost and broken

Here us calling
Hear us crying
Hear us calling
Hear us crying
This is the call
This is the call

We shine brighter and love bigger
We'll run to the dark
And we carry Your heart
To the lost and broken
We'll embrace our rescue mission
To live out your heart in the depths of the dark
For the lost and broken

This is the call

Overall Meaning

In "The Call," The Museum delivers a powerful message about responding to the call of duty to reach the lost and broken. The song's first verse sets the stage for a spiritual battle that is about to begin. The stakes are high and the moment is near. As the war begins, the time for action is now. The chorus then highlights the call to stand up and fight for those who have lost their way. The band uses vivid imagery, as they invite us to "run to the dark" and "carry Your heart" to those who have lost sight of hope. The message is clear: we must embrace our rescue mission and live out the heart of Jesus Christ in the depths of the dark. As the song progresses, we can hear the band calling out to listeners, urging them to answer the call and fight for the lost and broken.

The second verse continues the theme of spiritual warfare. The lyrics describe the rising tide of trouble and confusion that surrounds us. The world can leave us feeling broken and beaten down, but the choice to run or fight is ultimately ours. The chorus then reiterates the message of the song: we must shine brighter and love bigger, carrying the heart of Christ to those who are hurting. In the bridge, the band amplifies this message, calling out for listeners to hear their cry and join in the rescue mission. Finally, the song concludes with a powerful declaration, as The Museum emphatically belts out "This is the call."

I used this mission to shot shepherd's eye with barrett. 50 cal from one millimeter distance, and that was true ending for me.

I still have the original and I actually play this mission quite often:
I know there is no real way to complete it, but I β€œdo” it by using all available weapons (except the javelin and the stinger, obviously) which I have organized in various loadouts, made in accordance to weapons nationalities and similarity (for example, AK47 + PP2000 for the similar nationality, FAMAS + M93 for the burst and striker + P90 for the large mags).

I press one button, run to the other room’s entrance (or the nearer vehicles’ room, if I’m using shotguns), gun them down as they come at me, push forward, clear the ones left in the room, do the next one, change loadout and repeat.

I pick up enemy weapnons very often, because they are pretty much the only way to get a damn red dot or holo on my assault rifles (I really don’t like ACOG, and there is no way in hell i’m using the godawful thermal scope AK in the glass box XD), and I absolutely get rid of that damn juggernaut before pressing the button, unless I’m using an LMG myself.
When I’m using snipers, I kill the dog beforehand and run all the way to the end of the opposite room, throwing a flashbang behind me in the corridor.

I kinda like how in this level when you spawn in the mission where does your gun point?
In the area where Shepherd is

First time I played this I had a desk pop as I spawned and heard someone fall. Just about lost it when I saw I'd domed Shepard from the other side of the hallway.
