Freedom Fighters
The Music Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I don't know
Why these people can't get it on
And what you didn't know
That its just people having fun, yeah

I thought that there was something going wrong with me
I thought that everyone in this life should be free
But now I'm feeling lost and something here is wrong
Would you come and let me sing to people
Come and help me sing this song

Dance for the freedom
Fighters of the world
Feel the walls
She's real real love
They don't love you
They love you on your way
I don't love you babe though
It's OK

Yeah

In this rain
It makes it harder than it needs to be
What you didn't know
That is it always gonna stay this way, yeah

I thought that there was something going wrong with me
I thought that everyone in this life should be free
But now I'm feeling lost and something here is wrong
Would you come and let me sing to people
Come and help me sing this song

Dance for the freedom
Fighters of the world
Feel the walls
She's real real love
They don't love you
They love you on your way
I don't love you babe though
It's OK

Dance for the freedom
Fighters of the world
Feel the walls
She's real real love
They don't love you
They love you on your way
I don't love you babe though
It's OK

Its just another song yeah
Nah nah nah no

Overall Meaning

The Music's song, "Freedom Fighters," conveys a sense of confusion over the state of society and the need for change. The lyrics convey a frustration over the inability of people to come together and have fun, without any judgment, bias or prejudice. The track carries a message of unity and inclusivity, emphasizing that people should be able to express themselves freely, because it is only then that they can feel truly liberated.

The first verse describes the confusion of the singer regarding the situation in the world. He is unable to understand why people cannot come together and have fun. He acknowledges that there is something going wrong, and he wishes to do something about it. However, he cannot seem to pinpoint what is wrong, leaving him feeling lost and unsure. The second verse reinforces the first, stating he believed everyone is entitled to be free until he found that something was amiss.

The chorus encourages listeners to dance for the freedom fighters of the world, describing love as the way to break down walls and resist hatred. The singer acknowledges that not everyone would love without conditions, but that it is okay. The final words of the song signal an end to the confusion and the realization that it's just another song.

Overall, “Freedom Fighters” is a song that speaks of hope, solidarity, and the power of music to inspire people to create a better world.
