… Read Full Bio ↴There were at least two different groups with the name The Mystics.
1.) The Mystics, Brooklyn, NY, USA
2.) The Mystics, Macau / Hong Kong
1.) The Mystics are a singing group which began in Brooklyn, New York, USA in the late 1950s. The group was known as The Overons, a quintet that, when signed to Laurie Records, consisted of Phil Cracolici (b. 1937, lead), Albee Cracolici (b. 1936, baritone), George Galfo (b. 1939, second tenor), Bob Ferrante (b. 1936, first tenor), and Al Contrera (b. 1940, bass). Under the direction of their manager, Jim Gribble, The Overons became The Mystics when each group member wrote a name they liked on a slip of paper, placed the papers in a hat and Al Contrera's choice was drawn.
2.) The Mystics were formed in 1965 during the glory years of HK’s English pop scene. The members largely comprised of hkongers of Portugese decent. The band was popular at the school parties and “tea dances”, and recorded chart toppers like I can’t help myself, Sweet soul music, Midnight hour, Going out of my head, Song of the wind, One day (sang by Don Choi) and Send her back (composed by Michael Remedios and Tony Tavares). They disbanded in 1971.

The Mystics Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Taste my blood and greed will
Steal your soul
When all the demons are howling
Into the night
Unleashing all their power
Deep inside your heart
And your underworld now ends
Stand aside and fight with us
Rise or fall in the name of satan
See the darkness falling
And coldness over me
The dead moon rising again over
The mountains
I pray for relief
Out of the darkness I hear
The cries of victory
The dead moon rising again
God hates you for all what you have done
Smell my blood and rotting flesh
Fight against the one who gave you the
Eternal life
Kill him and eat his heart
Now stay by my side
And you will be damned in darkness forever
The Mystics's "Dead in 2-3" is a song that showcases the satanic ideology. The lyrics describe a world of suffering and darkness where greed overpowers and steals one's soul. The demons howl, unleashing their power deep inside a person's heart. The song portrays a life of anguish and agony with an ultimate goal of being damned in darkness forever.
The opening lines of the song, "Welcome to my world of suffering, Taste my blood and greed will steal your soul," give us an image of a person trying to drag others to their world of darkness. The lyrics imply that once a person enters this world, they will be trapped there forever. The demonization of God is portrayed through the lyrics, "God hates you for all what you have done." This creation of evil and good concepts is a common feature in satanic ideology, with the idea that Satan is kind and peaceful in contrast to God who is cruel and unjust.
The lyrics "The dead moon rising again over the mountains, I pray for relief," give the impression of an individual who is struggling to cope with the misery and tragedies of everyday life. The song presents a dark reality where the concept of victory is related to cries of despair in the darkness. The final lyrics "Kill him and eat his heart, now stay by my side, and you will be damned in darkness forever," further solidify the song's satanic message.

Some say that these sorts of Requiem chants are morbid, but I have never believed that. This one, in particular, is a beautiful memento mori
The "wisdom of the world" tells us to search for more thrills and more entertainment - anything to keep our minds from remembering our own helplessness, littleness, and mortality.
But Christ teaches us NOT to run from our inevitable death, but rather to pick up our own crosses and accept death as he accepted it. He even goes so far as to encourage us to embrace it as God's will for us, as He did.
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we recognize death as powerless over our souls. The power it seems to have because of the ending of our bodies is an illusion.
Death itself has been conquered by Christ on our behalf. This apparent death is nothing more than a normal stage in our eternal life in God.
At our core, all of us are truly immortal souls within whom God dwells, and our immortality is guaranteed by His presence there. So let us look death in the face unworriedly, and welcome it when it comes.

I just got this in my feed after I found out my grandfather reposed. I don't know if he was a Christian, but he had a heart above all selfish desires. After I heard the news, the moon came out from behind the clouds and it looked like an eye. I stated at it and I cried silent tears as I comforted my sister. After about 3 minutes the clouds took the moon back into the darkness. Now that I think of it, it was almost like God was looking down on us and let us know that our grandfather's soul is in His hands now. That was our grandpa's last goodbye to us and the the clouds taking back the moon, was as if the Gates of Heaven were closing as he went beyond. May God rest your soul Grandpa Robert, and thank you for this video!
