i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
why you looking so down?
when you're so wired
why go into town?
come over to my house
come on boy just come round
i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
to love you
i won't be fooled again
oh no
come on girl just come round
i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
why you looking so down?
when you're so wired
why go into town?
come over to my house
come on girl just come round
i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
i may be crazy but i am not too young
to love you
i won't be fooled again
oh no
then again what's so bad about dying?
come on boy just come round
i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
why you looking so down?
when you're so wired
why go into town?
come over to my house
come on boy/girl just come round
i may be crazy but i'm not dumb
i may be crazy but i'm not too young
to love you
i won't be fooled again
oh no
The song "Crazy? Yes! Dumb? No!" by The Naked and Famous is about taking a chance on love despite being viewed as crazy by others. The lyrics express the desire for someone to come to their house rather than going out into town, suggesting a desire for intimacy and comfort amidst the chaos of the outside world. The repetition of "I may be crazy but I'm not dumb" further emphasizes the singer's willingness to take risks and embrace their unconventional nature.
The song also touches on the subject of mortality, with the line "then again what's so bad about dying?" potentially suggesting a desire to live life to the fullest without worry or fear. Overall, the lyrics encourage the listener to embrace their own unique qualities and not be afraid to pursue what they want, even if it may seem crazy to others.
