The band was formed in 2005. In 2006, with opening act Blondie, the band went on the "Road Rage Tour." Due to a shoulder injury from a motor vehicle accident, guitarist Elliot Easton was forced to cease touring with the band in later 2006. This resulted in the cancellation of the remaining tour dates during that period.
After his recovery, the band resumed touring in the first quarter of 2007, mostly playing casino venues. A great many fans of Rundgren's previous work and of the Cars' classic 80s rock enjoyed the group's efforts as they jotted from city to city. However, it wouldn't be too long before the outfit broke up, with Rundgren returning to his solo efforts.

To hang around with you
Maybe you think I'm lucky
To have something to do
But I think that you're wild
And inside me is some child
You might think it's foolish
You might think I'm crazy
But all I want is you
You might think it's hysterical
But I know when you're weak
You think you're in the movies
And everything's so deep
But I think that you're wild
When you flash that fragile smile
You might think it's foolish
Or maybe it's untrue
You might think I'm crazy
But all I want is you
And it's hard so hard to take
There's no escape without a scrape
You kept it going till the sun fell down
You kept it going
You might think I'm delirious
The way I run you down
But somewhere sometime
When you're curious
I'll be back around
And I think that you're wild
And so uniquely styled
The New Cars's song "You Might Think" is a romantic track that talks about a person's deep attachment towards someone who others might consider crazy. The lyrics are pretty straightforward, and the song begins with the singer acknowledging that his peers might see him as crazy for hanging out with the person he is interested in. However, the singer believes that the one he's attracted to is wild, and there's a child-like innocence in them that draws him towards that person.
In the next stanza, the words imply that the person of interest might see the world differently and can be emotional in ways that others may not understand. However, the singer admires this quality and finds that person wild, which makes them unique. The singer acknowledges that onlookers might see his choices as foolish, but all he wants is to be with that person.
Lastly, the song acknowledges that the journey might be tough, and there might be obstacles ahead, but the singer suggests that he is not going anywhere. He is sure that when the other person is curious, he will be back around. The closing line is a reflection of the fact that the person's unique style is the driving force behind the singer's unwavering attraction.

we just lost Eddie Money and then another tragic loss of another music legend and only days apart. Reminds me of when we lost David Bowie, Glenn Frye, and Prince 3 years ago. All of them rest in heavenly peace!!

The very concept that a band called ‘The Cars’, had this song covered in the movie Cars 2, is just too perfect for the universe. Never noticed it way back then, but absolutely beautiful!
