Hotel
The Next Step Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Lights, Diamonds, Islands, Slience.
We go back in forth, like the tall glass space.
Livin' longer is highlights (highlights) when I get over this stage.
Let me inside a hotel, anything
The lyrics in The Next Step's song Hotel convey a sense of the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry. The first line "Lights, Camera, Action, Reflection" is a nod to the start of a film or television shoot, but with "Reflection" added, it suggests that this is a more introspective journey than what we see on the surface. Similarly, "Lights, Diamonds, Islands, Silence" presents a juxtaposition of luxury and isolation. The idea of going "back and forth, like the tall glass space" is a metaphor for the ups and downs of the industry, with the "highlights" being worth the struggle when they are achieved. Finally, the line "Let me inside a hotel, anything" could be a plea for escape, wanting to be cocooned in a world of opulence, away from the pressures of public life.

itz. meimeiii thatโs true but sheโs still very flexible. at this age, victoria (michelle) lost quite a bit of her flexibility. she canโt do much acro anymore, like her front aerial, back handspring etc. her injury does take a little part in that tho, but most of it i think is becos sheโs getting older.
