Don't Worry Misery
The Nines Lyrics

Well it's hard to say what's on someone's mind
If a woman looks mean she might really be kind
She's smart, well-dressed, smells good, likes sex
But you can't get over her,
Can't get past her, can't get around your last
Disaster
Don't vow to get her back
Look there, you're well aware
You blew that one and now you care
But when you walk around you think you see her everywhere
Don't worry, you'll find her
It's just a little reminder
Don't worry, you'll find her
It's just a little reminder
And just when you think that you're over something
One little sound it like rushes right in
Then it's on and then it's off and then you're sad
And then you're not
But you want to go for her
Want to impress her
But can't get past her predecessor
You're workin' through it though
Then the radio plays a song you know brings
Her back
Look there, she's everywhere
You can't escape it's just not fair
And you still walk around with that stupid blank stare
You think you know what life's about
You're lucky now
You think you know what love's about
You'll work it out
The Ninesā song Donāt Worry Misery explores the struggles of moving on from a past relationship. The songās lyrics suggest that the person is having a hard time coping with the loss of someone they really care about. The first verse highlights the difficulties of understanding another personās emotions and how looks can be deceiving. The person in the song is describing their former partner as someone who is well-dressed, smart, smells good and likes sex, but despite all of this, they are unable to get over their past ādisasterā. The chorus then reassures the listener that they will eventually find someone else and that there is no need to worry.
The second verse continues with the theme of struggling to move on from past relationships. The phrase āone little sound it like rushes right inā brings to mind the idea of a trigger that brings back memories from the past relationship, causing feelings of sadness and longing to resurface. The song acknowledges that it is difficult to let go of someone, especially if that person was important to you, and that sometimes itās hard to impress a new love interest when you canāt get over your predecessor. The final chorus states that with time, the person will understand what love and life are truly about.
Overall, the lyrics to Donāt Worry Misery are relatable to anyone who has struggled with moving on from a past relationship. The songās title suggests that while it may seem like misery, feeling this way is only temporary and that things will eventually get better.
