Traveling and living in Belgium and Montreal, he spent thousands of hours in recording studios listening and watching musician friends.

In 2007, he recorded a demo with friends in Montreal; then returned in 2008 to record the rest of the songs for the album Montreal MM:0110, produced by longtime fixture of the Montreal music scene, DJ/producer DEE . While the Montreal band is home, the songs travel, and Maroldo created the LA contingency who play out of a downtown after-hours club where he DJ’s.
