1. The … Read Full Bio ↴There have been mat least three groups called The Originals.
1. The Originals were a successful Motown R&B and soul group during the 1960s and 1970s.
The group found modest success in the first half of the decade, often working as backup singers for recordings by artists such as Jimmy Ruffin ("What Becomes of the Broken Hearted", 1966) and David Ruffin ("My Whole World Ended (The Moment You Left Me)", 1969). The Originals found their biggest success under the guidance of Motown legend Marvin Gaye, who co-wrote and produced two of the group's biggest singles, "Baby I'm For Real", and "The Bells". Both songs became seminal soul music recordings, and both songs have since been covered: 1990s R&B group After 7 re-recorded "Baby I'm For Real" and made it a hit again in 1992, while another 1990s R&B group Color Me Badd re-recorded "The Bells" for one of their albums.
While the group went on to have more modest success in both the soul and disco fields near the end of the decade, including "Down To Love Town," a #1 dance chart hit, the songs they made with Marvin Gaye are their most memorable notable.
2. The Originals were a short-lived ska band from the United Kingdom, best known for their track 'No One Like You', which was in fact released under their previous name The Volecanoes but became best known as an Originals song. Later incarnation's of the band, led by bassist Arthur Kay, were called Arthur Kay & The Originals or Arthur Kay's Originals.
3. The Originals were an alter ego of The Champs, known for their 1958 hit Tequila,

I love you so much that I feel the feeling
From the very thought of your caress
Ooh, baby
And a luscious, luscious, love of
(Ah, ooh, baby)
Of femininity is my description
And with all of the power
And the strength that you possess
Come and unlock me, baby
You're the key to my happiness
Oh! (Ooh, baby) i love you (Ah, ooh, baby)
I love the way you make me feel
You make me keep my love for you (Love, love)
Locked up deep inside (Love, love)
Ooh, hold me, ooh, hold me, baby
(Ah, ooh, baby)
Cling to me baby through all your fears
(And I will make you heavenly and
I will be your security)
I'll work with my hands
I'll sweat from my brow
Oh, to keep you satisfied
I love, I love you, girl
I love, I love my baby
May we always be happy
Heaven help us, never played a fool
To love and understand you, honey
And follow the Golden Rule (Ooh, baby)
'Cause I can't afford to lose the love
(Ah, ooh, baby)
That's good and sweet like you
So, to show how much I love you
And to keep your love from being untrue
I'll work with my hands sweat from my brow
Then, come home to keep you satisfied
Oh! (Ooh, baby)
I'll keep you satisfied, satisfied
(Ah, ooh, baby) i'll keep you satisfied
I'll keep you satisfied, satisfied
Satisfied, satisfied i want your body
(Ah, ooh, baby, I'll keep you satisfied
Satisfied) i want your body
(Ah, ooh, baby, I'll keep you satisfied
Satisfied)
I want your body, I want your body
In The Originals' song "Just To Keep You Satisfied," the lyrics reveal the deep emotional bond between two people in a romantic relationship, who have experienced ups and downs. The song is an expression of a person's great love for their partner and their pain in realizing that the relationship is no longer working. The opening lines set the tone for the song, as the person describes how their partner was the most important person in their life, who they loved immensely and was their source of hope and happiness. However, the subsequent lines reveal that the relationship has hit a rough patch, with the person having to endure jealousy and "bitchin'" from their partner.
Despite this, the person is still deeply in love with their partner, and when they are together, they forget all their problems. The lines "And when we/ Ooh, we stop the hands of time/ You set my soul on fire/ My one desire was to love you/ And think of you with pride" further illustrate the intensity of the person's feelings for their partner. However, the relationship has become mentally and emotionally draining, and the couple cannot endure it any longer. The person must say goodbye to their partner, although they acknowledge that the good times they shared can never outweigh the bad. The song's closing message is one of hope, with the person acknowledging that all they can do now is "try to be happy."
Line by Line Meaning
You were my wife
You were the person I married and committed to for life
My life, my hopes and dreams
You were my reason for living, my aspiration and all that I longed for
For you to understand what this means
So that you can comprehend how much you meant to me
I shall explain
I will break it down for you
I stood all the jealousy
I endured every moment of envy
All the bitchin', too
I even put up with extreme complaining
Yes I'd forget it all
I didn't mind putting up with it all as long as we could be intimate afterwards
Once in bed with you
During those moments that we shared physically
Oh darlin'
My beloved
How did we end up like this?
How did we become estranged from each other?
Oh baby let me reminisce
Let me recall some memories we shared
(Ooh baby) And when we
Remember when we
Ooh, we stop the hands of time
When we momentarily paused everything else in our lives
You set my soul on fire
You ignited a passion in me that I can't explain
My one desire was to love you
All I wanted was to show you affection
And think of you with pride
To have respect and admiration for you
And keep you satisfied
To ensure that you were content with our relationship
Oh baby, oh baby
I still have strong feelings for you
We could not bear the mental strain
It was too difficult for us to handle the emotional pressure of our situation
Leave you, I never meant to
Breaking up with you was never my intention
Now you see how much you hurt me
Now you understand how much pain I am experiencing
But, if you ever need me
Know that I am here to offer my support should you ever require it
I'll be by yor side
I will always be there for you
Though the many happy times we had
Despite all of the joyous moments we shared
Can really never outweigh the bad
Those positive experiences can't make up for all the negative ones we experienced
Oh, I never loved nobody
No one else has ever made me feel the way that you did
Like I love you, baby
I will always cherish the love that we shared
Now it's time for us to say farewell
It's time for us to go our separate ways
Farewell my darlin'
Goodbye, my beloved
Maybe we'll meet down the line
Perhaps we'll cross paths again in the future
(Ooh baby) It's too late for you and me
We can't revive our relationship now
Much too late for you and I
It's been too long for us to address our issues
Much too late for you to cry
It's beyond the point where tears can change anything
Oh, we tried
We made an effort
God knows we tried
We did everything we could to save our relationship
Now it's too late
But unfortunately, it's just too late
To live and learn
To have experiences and obtain wisdom
Oh, it's too late, baby
I wish we could have done things differently
It's too late for you and me
There's no way to go back and undo the problems that we faced
Much too late for you to cry
There's no turning back the clock, there's no use crying or being upset
Oh
a vocalization of disappointment
Well
an expression of resignation to the situation
All we can do is we can both try to be happy
All that is left for us is to hope that we can both find happiness
