Night and Day
The Orioles Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Like the beat, beat, beat,
Of the tom-tom;
When the jungle shadows fall,
Like the tick, tick, tock
Of the stately clock,
As it stands against the wall,
Like the drip, drip, drip,
Of the raindrops,
When the summer show'r is through;
So a voice within me
Keeps repeating,
You, you, you

Night and day
You are the one,
Only you
Beneath the moon
And under the sun.
Whether near to me or far,
It's no matter,
Darling, where you are
I think of you
Night and day.

Day and night
Why is it so,
That this longing for you follows
Where-ever I go?
In the roaring traffic's boom,
In the silence of my lonely room,
I think of you,
Night and day.

Night and day
Under the hide of me
There's an
Oh, such a hungry yearning,
Burning inside of me.
And its torment won't be through
Til you let me spend my life
Making love to you,

Day and night,
Night and day.

The most influential stadium ever built. No other arenas created the shock waves that rippled out across the landscape of all of American sports the way Camden Yards has

Where do I begin , this is my childhood馃榿 from watching Brady and Devo fly over the walls robbing homeruns , to the HTS home team sports intro and welcome home song.. I was at the game with my favorite person to watch the orioles my grandmother when Devo made that incredible soaring catch and haven't seen any catch like that until Mike Trout a few years back did it straight over the center field wall where Devo catch was more towards the farthest part of our ball park left center. Memory lane is in full today. Thanks for this upload.

It's crazy how baseball claims its dying but doesn't do the little things to stay alive, these team highlight films were wonderful wrap ups of good or bad seasons, now it seems only a select few do season highlight films, that's a small gesture which could go along way in promoting baseball to the youth or fans who have deserted baseball.

I still remember that 1st season at Camden Yards like it happened yesterday! Too bad we didn't get more offensive punch to help us that September.

I'm here for Opening Day 2022 since this Stadium turns 30
I'm a lifelong Orioles fan since 2009 even tho I don't follow Baseball that much tbh
Doesn't matter if we have a terrible season or not let's just enjoy some Baseball

The current Orioles front office should watch this video and build a team like this to help spur the turnaround. Zig while the rest of the league zags, at least from an offensive standpoint. Instead of waiting around for the three run homer, swip some bases like Brady and Devo did to spark the team. They weren't the most naturally talented team, but they played the game the right way, did the little things (as Richie said) and never gave up. This team helped lay the foundation for the teams in 1996 and 1997 that went to the ALCS.

Also, Devo was the first autograph I ever got. And if you ever want to stump your friends, ask them if they know the name Chris Hoiles. He's not that well known outside of Baltimore, but he was a very good Oriole. Extremely underrated.

Well shit if that opening doesn't give your chills!

I was the very last kid that went down 3rd base line to the outfield to help hold the ribbon up for president bush and governor Shaffer to cut..I even have pics of me and Jim Palmer in the sos dugout before it was even painted. Palmer was doing an interview on the mound with the press right after our rehearsal and me and my sister was checking out the dugout and my mom yelled for him and he came over and sat in the dugout with us and mom to the pics, then he signed balls for us and went about his way
