After the production of their single "Rich Man's Holiday" in 2014, the band split. Beginning in 2016, lead singer Orion Simprini began to produce his own original music, uploaded to the band's YouTube channel as well as to Spotify and iTunes under the name Orion.
However, in 2021, the band reformed, releasing first Sugar Deluxe, a compilation of songs released prior on EPs, and a series of covers, then, from August 5th, a series of singles, culminating in the release of their studio album, Fever Dream, on October 24th.
Sugar

I wanna feel your sugar rush through my veins
Whipped cream, jellybean, sweet and sour tangerine
I wanna feel your sugar rush through my veins
Honey I wanna be the sunshine falling on your long, black licorice hair
Give me chocolate kisses I'm a kid in a candy shop
Once you get me started up, I don't know when to stop
Sugar, sugar, oh you're no good for me
I got a sweet tooth -- it gets the best of me
And you're like candy, you go down so easily
Sugar, baby, can't you see, you're going to be the death of me
Cupcake, caramel, oh my little wishing well
Make my mouth water such a sweet surprise
Bon bon, peppermint, oh so young and innocent
Make my heart flutter from your sugar high
Cookie I wanna be the flicker that sparks your red-hot cinnamon smile
Wild cherry, pixie stix, can I get a little fix
Once you get me fired up, I don't know when to quit
Sugar, sugar, oh you're no good for me
I got a sweet tooth -- it gets the best of me
And you're like candy, you go down so easily
Sugar, baby, can't you see, you're going to be the death of me
Oh, you make me high
I can't resist your deliciousness just sweetly be mine
I hate to say goodbye
You make me burst like a bubble but you're nothing but trouble yeah
Sugar, sugar, oh you're no good for me
I got a sweet tooth -- it gets the best of me
And you're like candy, you go down so easily
Sugar, baby, can't you see, you're going to be the death of me
Sugar, sugar, sugar, yeah
Sugar, sugar, sugar, yeah
Sugar, sugar, sugar, yeah
Sugar, baby, can't you see you're going to be the death of me
The Orion Experience's "Sugar" is a fun, upbeat song about the irresistible power of sugar. The lyrics are full of candy-themed metaphors, painting a picture of a candy shop that the singer can't resist. The chorus repeats the idea that the addressee, whom the singer calls "sugar baby," is just like candy, and that indulging in their sweetness is ultimately going to be the singer's downfall.
In the verses, the singer describes wanting to be near their beloved, using more candy-themed imagery to describe their feelings. They want to be the "sunshine falling on [their] long, black licorice hair" and make their "mouth water" like "a little wishing well." The chorus ties all of this together, emphasizing that the singer knows their sweet tooth is going to get the better of them and that indulging in their love is going to end poorly.
Overall, the song is a fun, catchy celebration of the power of sugar and the urge to indulge in what we know isn't good for us. The candy-themed lyrics are clever and playful, giving the song an upbeat quality even as it describes a potentially fatal attraction.

@Karu I first heard that song in a class on Ancient Greece. We were learning about the cult of Dionysus and the teacher mentioned that it had its own theme tune.

Why is everyone finding this band with cult of Dionysus? It confuses me, especially since I found this band that way, too.
