The Christmas Waltz
The Osmonds Lyrics

Candles gleaming inside
Painted candy canes on the tree
Santa's on his way
He's filled his sleigh with things
Things for you and me
It's that time of year
Ev'ry song you hear seems to say
Merry Christmas
May your New Year dreams come true
And this song of mine
In three-quarter time
Wishes you and yours
The same thing too
The Osmonds's song The Christmas Waltz is a holiday classic that captures the joyous spirit of Christmas through picturesque lyrics. The opening lines of the song, "Frosted windowpanes, candles gleaming inside, painted candy canes on the tree" conjure up images of a cozy and warm indoor setting, filled with the glimmering lights of the festive season. The mention of Santa Claus and his sleigh loaded with gifts underscores the message that Christmas brings with it the promise of generosity and kindness.
The chorus of The Christmas Waltz goes, "It's that time of year when the world falls in love, every song you hear seems to say, Merry Christmas, may your New Year dreams come true." These lines capture the sense of magic and wonder that the holiday season brings - the idea that for a brief moment, the world is filled with joy, harmony, and goodwill. The song ends with the reflection that, "this song of mine, in three-quarter time, wishes you and yours the same thing too." The waltz time signature imbues the song with a certain elegance and grace - a nod to the formal traditions associated with the holiday season.
Overall, The Christmas Waltz is a timeless tribute to the most wonderful time of the year, a song that brings comfort and cheer to people across generations.
