Some of you complain about the "na nanas" etc. I can undersand that. But let me tell you that each time I went to a show, and a song including a "nanana" or a "whowow" is played, it creates with the audience such a wonderful choir. Anyone can sing along and jump to it !

I love how everyone's like "they're pretending to be young, they're like 40" because they actually don't understand this song like at all.
They come from the suburbs of Chicago before the boom of urban expansion and housing developments. Chicago was more open and less of a cut and dry city back then, but during reform of the city and expansion they literally destroyed the now-adults favorite places to hang out as kids and put up parking lots and other shit.

Ignoring all of the hate for the 'na na's'. This is a very solid Blink song and brings back the Blink sounds that we all know and love. The 'na na's' are used because they work, especially well in this song. This is hella catchy, a good single to promote the deluxe edition of California. Long live Blink-182!

I just got an amazing idea of something I would love to see the band do. I would love to see Tom DeLonge come back into the band but still have Matt skiba in the band as well. Considering I love both of those musicians it would be so great to see them in the band with Mark Hoppus. dual guitars would be something so great to hear and Blink-182 especially with How differently they seem to play. we would also get to have three vocalists in the band that can provide lead vocals, and backing vocals. the only thing better than that would be hearing the awesome three-part harmonies they may potentially be able to come up with. I think the best part of this is being able to get a mix of lyrics that are mature like on neighborhoods and the self-titled album but also get classic Blink 182 lyrics that we've gotten. Overall if Tom Matt and Mark were in the band it would be so great to hear. I like both old and new Blink 182 but being able to hear the both of them combined would be a miracle. Though very unlikely.

The idea of the song I think, is a joke; them reflecting on good times they had somewhere and then quickly and flippantly deciding to get rid of that place and have it replaced with a parking lot as the punchline. Both songs are reminiscent, but this one is meant to be funny, and the other meant to be sad. Also taking a lyric from a song and writing your own song around it isn't uncommon in music. Look at "Something In The Way" by Nirvana, taking it's chorus from the opening line of The Beatles "Something" for example. There's nothing wrong with being inspired or paying homage to another artist.

Tom, Mark and Travis rock it! They gave my daughter Travis' sticks. Her Dad likes old cars so their roadie showed us Travis' cadillac parked in a diesel. My kids love Blink 182. I use to treadmill to the one with the nurse on the cover 2 times back to back when my kids were little. The boys grew up going to see them a few times. It has been awhile since I heard them!

I know haters are going to hate. The reality is blink-182 had to move on with out Tom. It was only fair for all three of them. California was a nostalgic album. When I was 11 I first heard Enema of the state. It changed my life. I got my first job delivering news papers in a small town to save up for a guitar and spent hours learning and playing along. I owe them for getting me into music. The amazing thing with blink-182 is I felt that they were growing up as I was. Their angsty ballads got me through good and bad times from Buddha to Dogs eating dogs. As my life went through changes blink-182 was right there with me, evolving with me. Always there and surprising me. How many of you late 80s and 90s kid can relate? Yes I miss Tom, I loved neighborhoods and Dogs eating dogs. But life is all about change. If you miss Tom so much give Ava a chance. It's the same roots as classic blink on steroids. I may not relate so much to their latest album. But I do respect them (Besides the nah nahs). As long as they are all happy and making music they are proud of and enjoy. Old fans be greatful. New fans be understanding. And let what ever form of blink-182 be there with you as live your life. ✌🏻🍻🤘🏻

sucks that people don't like neighborhoods :( I think it is really great lyrically! I also enjoy the instrumental but I think lyrically is really where it stands out.

I agree 1000%. They coulda made something really amazing if Skiba sounded like Alkaline Trio Skiba, you know... His normal voice. But instead hes compressed so much he just sounds like Mark version 2.
