The PepTides, the brainchild of songwriter Claude Marquis and partner-in-crime DeeDee Butters, is a constantly evolving musical playscape. Marquis’s prolific songwriting runs the gamut from uproarious electro-synth pop anthems to tender acoustic ballads—giving a chipper nod to every genre in between. Incisive lyrics contrast with layered harmonies, catchy backbeats and whimsical sound effects in an exploration of the existential questions “What happened?”, “What’s wrong?” and “What next?”. Past albums include I’m A Spy (2007), Stereo Stereo (2008), North Hero (2010) and the award-winning For Those Who Hate Human Interaction (2010), voted 'Best Album of the Year' by the Ottawa Citizen. Fans eagerly await the forthcoming release of Love Question Mark in 2012.

The PepTides have taken the national capital by storm at their live performances, which include opening night of the Ottawa International Jazz Festival and PepTides 360, an intimate theatre-in-the-round experience which was voted 'Best Live Show 2011' (Ottawa XPress). A ticket to a PepTides show is an invitation to partake in a lavish post-apocalyptic fête. The brazen 10-member troop brings audiences an energetic spectacle featuring vibrant vocals, kitschy costumes, provocative videos and spontaneous dancing—all set in a 1950s living room strewn with retro furniture and radios, minks and (sometimes) trees. At the core of the music is a dose of 21st-century social commentary. Song titles read like prescriptions: For Those Who Hate The Earth, For Those Who Hate The Voice In Their Head, For Those Who Hate Carnage. Yet The PepTides serve their pointed offering wrapped in an irresistible package of silk, soul, fedoras and funk.

@ddayv he was extremely manipulative and hungry for control.. and it literally screwed the world up, he is most certainly a villain lol. Not a traditional one like skullface or a tragic one like Liquid but the things this guy did because he couldn't give up his version of an ideal world (which was still war driven, everything our playable characters in this franchise fight against) led to a lot of bad stuff. Worstly the AI that was able to take advantage of everything he created and almost start a nuclear war. He's not skullface, but the world woulda been much better off if he hadn't done most of the things he did.

He actually said once that the he planned to end the franchise on mgs2, but since the fans weren’t happy with that “open ending” in mgs2 he just end up connecting and explaining everything in the franchise with mgs4.

I think it's because John is still very innocent. By the time he has been Big Boss for a while, in MGS Peace Walker, we see him being entirely disillusioned. And that mental state was presumably the template that had been used for Les Enfants Terribles because Metal Gear Solid 1 shows Solid Snake, who's already a broken war hero after defeating both Big Bosses in Outer Heaven and Zanzibar, learns how to become idealistic again. It's MGS3's Snake's story in reverse.

this and codec calls is one of the major things that made mgs1, 2 and 3 amazing really added to the gameplay and realism like the characters are real and pulled you in to keep playing and wanting to do everything possible to get all of the hours you could out of the game(if that makes sense) but 4 and 5 really don't have this like the other games, its kind of sad, I remember playing 4 and 5 calling people all the time over and over and was like "uh ok, that's it really?" found myself a lot rushing to finish something just because it felt stale or boring

There was one that was missed which involves the Vampire codec call and it has to be performed in the holding cell when snake is being held prisoner. You have to hear the Vampire codec call then save the game and restart it, when you load the save play through the weird easter egg minigame and wake up and give paramedic another call to have snake blame her for the "Nightmare" he had.

Fulton recovery is a real thing, and also appears in the 007 film "Thunderball" from 1965. Kojima is a big fan of James Bond, so that is probably where he got idea to use it in the MG series from.

Just being told he would be better suited to a revolver made him switch weapons, then being told engravings and only have a weapon with 6 shots wont help and next time they meet, ocelot carried two standard looking revolvers. And then at the end with him wanting to fight snake before he left the mission.
