The group was formed in 2011 in St. George, Utah, United States. They became famous through YouTube, where they posted videos of renditions and mashups of popular songs accompanied by professional-looking video shots. Over one million people subscribe to their Youtube channel.

In December 2011, they released their first album, titled YouTube Hits, Vol. 1. Their second album, The Piano Guys, reached number one on the Billboard New Age Albums and Classical Albums charts in 2012.

This is so beautiful. I'm trying to encourage my 2-year-old nephew to appreciate the stars by taking him outside when he's upset to look for them. He has me singing the song for him while we stand around, me holding him in my arms. Listening to this, I feel like the song is being sung for me. It really makes me feel special and like a child again, like it makes my bond with my nephew that much stronger. Thank you so much for this lovely arrangement.

From now on this is the music that I'm going to be using when I'm singing this lullaby and putting my kid to sleep! Your rendition of this song is simply beautiful. Visuals were fantastic, and to see a beautiful starry night sky is what one can only wish for living in the big city! I have pity for those who dislike this song, as you may have had an unhappy childhood and are therefore unable to absorb the beauty of this age old lullaby! This piece of music reminds me of the best journey in my life. It also reminds me of all the kindness the world holds, it is hard some times hard to see, through the blanket of abuse and sadness, that sometimes seem to thick to look trough. Mozart was a brilliant man, to get all of those emotions into a simple tune like this, is simply to mindbobling for a kid like me. Thank you for doing this.
