Runners High
The Pillows Lyrics

Do you see what I mean?
Freedom beats the kingdom!
And I saw you in my dream.
息をとめてずっと走り続けた
鼓動が聞こえるか
Just Runners High!
Escape from the sinking!
Do you see what I mean?
Freedom beats the kingdom!
And I saw you in my dream.
目を閉じていたって全てが見えた
風をかき分けて
Just Runners High!
Runners High!
Just Runners High!
Runners High!
Dizzy my future
Silly my way
The song "RUNNERS HIGH" by the pillows is a fast-paced track that highlights the theme of escaping from the sinking feeling and experiencing freedom. The lyrics urge the listener to keep running and not lose hope despite feeling overwhelmed. The opening lines, "Escape from the sinking! Do you see what I mean? Freedom beats the kingdom! And I saw you in my dream" set the tone for the rest of the song, building on the idea that freedom is more important than anything else.
The song describes an experience of "runner's high," a term used to describe the euphoric feeling of achievement that runners experience after a prolonged period of exercising. The chorus, "Just Runners High!" is a declaration of this feeling, urging the listener to achieve their own runner's high. The verse, "Dizzy my future, Silly my way" describes the confusion and doubt that can come with working towards one's dreams, but also suggests that this path is worth pursuing. The final lines, "Runners High! Just Runners High! Runners High!" are repeated to emphasize the importance of continually striving towards this feeling of success and freedom.
