perfect girl
The English translation of the chorus lyrics of the song "She is perfect" by the Japanese rock band, The Pillows, portrays the idea of a girl who is a perfect representation of a free spirit, untainted by societal norms, and unbound by the expectations of the world. The first verse shows a contradiction where the girl is lying with pure eyes, untainted even after falling into darkness. The next verse highlights the girl's simplistic approach to life, where she does not need anything to feel complete and happy. The chorus repeats the phrase "She is perfect, I'm in love" emphasizing an attraction towards her essence, rather than a physical manifestation.
The song's message suggests a search for freedom and happiness beyond materialistic desires or societal expectations, represented by the perfect girl. The girl is painted as someone who can be felt but not fully understood, like the wind or water. It is an ode to living a life in a simple and straightforward way, where one's essence is valued over anything else.
