Shakin' all over
The Pirates Lyrics

That's when I get the shakes all over me
Quivers down my back bone
I've got the shakes down the kneebone
Yeah havin' the tremors in the thighbone
Shakin' all over
Just the way you say goodnight to me
Quivers down my back bone
I've got the quivers down the thighbone
Yeah the tremors in my back bone
Shakin' all over
Quivers down my back bone
Yeah I have the shakes in the kneebone
I've got the tremors in the back bone
Shakin' all over
Well, you make me shake and I like it, baby
Well, you make me shake and I like it, baby
Well, you make me shake and I like it, baby
The Pirates' song "Shakin' all over" is about the physical and emotional reaction the singer experiences when they are close to someone they desire. The lyrics describe the tremors and quivers that run through their body when this happens. The first verse sets the scene for the song, with the singer saying that their whole body shakes when the person they desire is close. They describe the feeling starting in their back bone and running down their body, eventually reaching their kneebones and thighbones. The second verse expands on this feeling, with the singer saying that even just the way the person says good night to them creates this reaction.
The repetition of the phrases "quivers down my back bone" and "shakin' all over" emphasizes the physical nature of the feeling. It is something that the singer can't control and takes over their entire body. The repetition of the line "well, you make me shake and I like it, baby" further emphasizes the fact that the feeling is desirable to the singer. They want to be close to this person, even if it means experiencing these intense physical sensations.

I'm a Japanese teenager girl.
My favorite Japanese guitarist respected Mick Green.
So I learned about Johnny Kidd & The Pirates.
I wanted to listen to various songs from this band and I bought the best album CD
And now I like it!
There are very few Japanese who are aware of it
So I think that it would be better if the goodness of this is conveyed to them.
(Maybe my English is something wrong.
But please don't care about it.)
