1) The Plan is the brainchild of Swedish singer Theodor Jensen, otherwise known to Swedish pop audiences as the guitarist of cult band Broder Daniel. To date they have released three albums to moderate success in their native Sweden. While the band began as a four piece featuring Jensen along with organist Mikael Furugärde, bass player Peter Morén (of the more internationally famous Peter Bjorn and John) and drummer Niklas Forsell, Jensen is now the only member left.
2) The Plan is a Canadian mathcore outfit with Michael Catano from North of America. Influenced by the noisy post-punk from San Diego and Chicago math-rock, The Plan got together in the spring of 1999 as a side project for North of America vocalist/guitarist Michael Catano and Led By Regret bassist Mackenzie Ogilvie. After guitarist David Harrison and drummer Jon Hutt were recruited, the quartet played around their Halifax hometown and quickly signed to Matlock Records. Lance Purcell eventually took drum positions in time to release the Plan's first album, This Time Is not This Place, in 2000.
3) The Plan are also Cliff Thomas and Jon MacNish who release nice quality Detroit Techno music on a sublabel of Submerge Recordings and that sublabel also has the name The Plan.
From Boomkat:
Bringing the Past, Present, and Future together, comes the newest label from the Submerge family, THE PLAN. Having a sound that draws from their own personal experience of growing up in the Detroit area, Jonathan MacNish and Cliff Thomas, are some of the first artists at Submerge that have grown up hearing Detroit Techno. 8 Miles Wide chugs in with funky drums and emotional synth timbers while 4-Bit Logic is more of an elastic sounding dancefloor affair with its driving bass and percussion.

Nothing happens
You're pretty
But it's too quiet
You look beautiful
When we wake up
Emma I'm no good
I'm no good
It makes me hide
Emma
The song "Emma" by The Plan seems to be about a relationship not working out due to one partner's shortcomings. The singer, presumably a man, addresses the titular character, Emma, and tells her that "nothing happens" between them, suggesting that the relationship lacks excitement or passion. He acknowledges that she is pretty, but notes that the quietness between them is a problem. However, he still finds her beautiful when they wake up together, indicating that there are still some positive aspects to their relationship.
The chorus then reveals the root of the problem: the singer is "no good," and this fact makes Emma cry. He is aware of this and feels the need to hide from his faults, perhaps because he knows they are hurting Emma. The song ends on this sad note, with the singer seemingly resigned to the fact that he is not good enough for Emma and unable to change.
