Its members are Aldus Santos (voice, guitar), Marco Harder (guitar), Mikey Abola (bass), and Zig Rabara (drums). The group formed at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City.
In December of 2003, The Purplechickens put out its debut CD, Here's Plan B. The band released the follow-up record Girls, Et Cetera last December 2007.
