Come to save the princess Zelda
Ganon took her away
Now the children don't play
But they will when Link saves the day
Hallelujah!
Now link, fill up your hearts
And when youre feeling all down
The fairy will come around
So you'll be brave, and not a sissy coward
Now link has saved the day
Put Ganon in his grave
So now Zelda is free
And now our hero shall be
Link! I think your name shall go down into history!
The Rabbit Joint's song, "Legend of Zelda," is clearly based on the popular video game of the same name. The song begins by referencing the game's hero, Link, who has come to save the princess, Zelda. The story of the game revolves around the evil Ganon taking Princess Zelda away, leading to the children in the game not playing. The song notes that everything will return to normal once Link saves the day, after which the chorus of "Hallelujah!" suggests that this will be a truly triumphant moment.
The second verse of the song encourages Link to "fill up his heart" so that he can power up his sword and be brave enough to face Ganon. The line about the fairy coming around when he's feeling down is a reference to the fairy companion that accompanies Link throughout the game, who offers help and advice when needed. The song ends on a high note, with the triumphant news that Link has saved the day, Ganon is defeated, and Zelda is free. The song concludes by suggesting that Link's name will go down in history as a hero, cementing the importance of his victory.

@DeathOfThePhoenix
Thank you for giving credit to the actual person who wrote this song. I'm sick of people thinking System of a Down wrote it.
@Shadowfied
Absolutely. Yeah, it's really ridiculous how the idea of SOAD writing this became so big.
@Brandonsveit
He sounds nothing like Serj Tankian. Just goes to show you how gullible people are.
@verabolos7763
+Dark Orb just because the voice seems like serj tankian
@paulerxx
You can think Kazaa for this, I remember being a kid downloading System Of A Down songs and grabbed this one. It does sound like Serj singing.
I've listened to every System Of A Down song, a million times, was obsessed with them as a 12-13 years old. This does sound like Serj, especially if you listened to the stuff not on the studio albums.
@ovwarrior
this is the one thing that napster and kazaa really were fucking dumb about. alll these great songs were always mislabled and people thought songs like this were written by SOAD.
@stephencady6600
I’m still singing this as I play Tears of the Kingdom
