Lucifer's Angel
The Rasmus Lyrics

Behind those beautiful smiles, I've seen tragedy
The flawless skin hides the secrets within
Silent forces that secretly ignite your sins
[Chorus:]
Fly away
Fly away
They hunt you â?? the Lucifer's angel
Never lived
You never died
Your life has been denied
They call you
The Lucifer's angel
Beyond these clouds you can hide all your tears
Beyond this world you'll be safe from their wicked fears
In their hearts they fear your demands
And their minds
Won't accept you, they'll never understand
[Chorus]
On your own
I know you can make it
Truth or bone
I know you can shake it
Survive alone
I know you can take it
[Chorus]
Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Fly away
Hide away
Hide away
The Lucifer's angel
Fly away
Fly away
Hide away
Hide away
The Lucifer's angel
Fly away
Fly away
Run away
Run away
Hide away
Hide away
Lucifer's angel
The Rasmus's song "Lucifer's Angel" talks about the struggle of someone who is judged by society and forced to hide their true self due to their differences. The song is written from the perspective of the singer addressing this person, whom he calls "Lucifer's Angel". The lyrics revolve around how the person's external appearance contradicts the turmoil within them. The singer sees the person's beautiful smiles as a façade covering their inner tragedy, and how their flawless skin hides the secrets of their turbulent life. The silent forces that secretly ignite this person's sins refer to their personal struggles, which are unknown to others.
Amidst all this, the chorus of the song offers hope and freedom, with the singer encouraging the person to fly away from the torch of blame and oppression. The title "Lucifer's Angel" is used as a metaphor for someone who is deemed to be a demon but is, in fact, an angel.
Overall, the song is powerful with its deep lyrics and the message of acceptance for those who are different. It brings to memory the idea of not judging a book by its cover and accepting people for who they are.
