Guilty was released in 2004 and was the last single of the album. The three other singles; In My Life, First Day of My Life and Funeral Song also received mostly favourable reviews and response. During the 2004 Reading Festival in England, the band was pelted with plastic bottles filled with urine and mud (an act reserved for the worst band on the bill each year) until they eventually walked offstage when immediate medical attention was required for Eero's eye.

The Rasmus Lyrics

If you one day want to be mine
And give me satisfaction twice a day
Three, four, more, five
You better, better have a body
Which makes me sure I'm not gay
You gotta give me all,
Knock every day at my door
If you want me you gotta please
If you want me you gotta put it up to
If you want to adore me
Again and again when feel alright
Outflow
You gotta be hot, yeah!
Something that you're not
And be begging under my wind twice a day
Three, four, more, five
You better, better have a body
Which makes me sure I'm not gay
You gotta give me all,
Love me more
Stop!
If you want me you gotta please
If you want me you gotta put it up to
If you want to adore me
Again and again when feel alright
Outflow
The Outflow
Outflow
Is it to much to ask?
If you want me you gotta please
If you want me you gotta put it up to
If you want to adore me
Again and again when feel alright
Outflow
The song Outflow by The Rasmus can be interpreted as a cautionary tale about toxic masculinity and the unrealistic standards set by some men for their partners. The lyrics describe a man who expects his partner to have a perfect body and to provide him with constant sexual satisfaction, even specifying the number of times she should do so each day. The man also asserts that his partner must love him more than anything else, and he demands that she knock on his door every day.
The repetition of the phrase "If you want me you gotta please" emphasizes the idea that the man's love and approval are conditional and must be constantly earned by the woman. The line "Which makes me sure I'm not gay" suggests that the man fears being perceived as gay if his partner does not conform to his narrow standards of what is attractive. The phrase "begging under my wind" suggests a power dynamic in which the man holds all the cards and his partner must grovel for his attention.
In short, while the lyrics may seem playful and flirtatious on the surface, they contain deeper themes about gender roles and societal expectations. The lyrics are a commentary on the harmful expectations some men place on their romantic partners and the unrealistic standards they set for them.
