The Rising Lyrics

Weighted strong arms to hold my personal demigod
Ripping off this blindfold
A pressure falls on me
To be perfect your eyes
My dark void, realizing...
You're hell in disguise
Not a celestial,
A stygian void never fulfilled
I was your star, no light can escape
Not when giving to your pull
Remember when I explode that you pulled it out of me
These stars fading out
Your arms pull away from me
And cast me out but...
Promise to save me,
Promise to protect me from myself
Not a celestial,
Not a god
A stygian void never fulfilled
I was your star, no light can escape
Not when giving to your pull
Remember when I explode that you pulled it out of me
I'll blow you apart
You want to see a goddess rising
You want to see the embers raining down
Protect me now
Well protect yourself
My fire burns
But you're just black on black
Not a celestial,
Not a god
A stygian void never fulfilled
I was your star, no light can escape
Not when giving to your pull
Remember when I explode that you pulled it out of me
I'll blow you apart
You want to see a goddess rising
You want to see the embers raining down
Protect me now
Well protect yourself
The lyrics of The Rising's song "The Rising" speak about a person who is being manipulated and controlled by someone who they thought was a "celestial" or godly figure. The singer talks about how this person fastened a blindfold over their eyes and how they needed them to be perfect in their eyes. The singer begins to realize that this person is not what they seem; that they are in actual fact "hell in disguise," a stygian void (something dark and gloomy that can never be fulfilled). Eventually, the singer explodes and is cast out by this person, but not before they make a promise to protect and save them from themselves.
The chorus of the song is powerful, as the singer states that they will blow this person apart and that they themselves are rising like the goddess and the embers raining down. They tell this person that they must protect themselves because their fire burns too bright.
The lyrics to "The Rising" can be interpreted in many ways, as it is a song that speaks to the complexities of human relationships. Perhaps it is about a person's journey of discovering their own worth and realizing that they are worthy of love and respect, or maybe it speaks about the danger of putting too much trust in someone who is not what they seem.

Could you tell me where can I watch the show?

This series had me hooked from the start, that first episode was insane! Amazing acting, cinematography and soundtrack.
Literally binged it back to back the day it was released, I didn’t go to bed until the next morning when everybody else was waking up to start their day. I was so invested in the main characters and found some scenes so emotional that it kept me thinking about it the next day.
(I’ve since rewatched the series for a second time over a week with a family member at mine, after convincing them they needed to watch it. They also found it really good)
PS: Does anybody know the song that plays in the first episode when Neve finds her injuries in the bathroom/shower and finally understands what’s happening?
I really like it but can’t find any info on it and I’m not sure it’s on the soundtrack album?

This show was amazing! I almost skipped watching it and I'm so glad I didn't. If you're in doubt, just give it a shot. It will grasp you inside the first episode!
