Search the Internet for info on The Rosenbergs and youll come across hundreds of articles summarizing a history of bold career moves, the most famous being their rejecting an offer to appear on the much-hyped (and now defunct) Farmclub television show. They then teamed up with Robert Fripps label, DGM, to pave the way for artists everywhere to start taking back ownership of their masters. A few months later, while the rest of the music industry was waging war against Napster, The Rosenbergs took another controversial step by teaming with the infamous file-sharing service for tour sponsorship and a "buy one, get one free" promotion for their sophomore release Mission: You. That one pissed off a retailer or two. Over the years, the plucky DIY New York-based band has endured management, label and lineup changes, and self-financed tours on both sides of the Atlantic.
All of which begs the question: How have The Rosenbergs managed to survive in an industry where its almost impossible to cash in without selling out? The answer can be found on their Force MP debut Department Store Girl, an invigorating album of irresistibly catchy guitar pop bright enough to part the clouds. Bursting with hummable hooks, terrific melodies and sharp wordplay, delivered by Fagins intoxicatingly tuneful voice, the album is everything youd expect from the band Entertainment Weekly once praised for its "infectious songs and head-bobbing choruses."
In Pursuit
The Rosenbergs Lyrics

We're lost into
The ride of the grins
Changing
Black and blue
My oh my oh I've
Lost it again
Lost it again
Speaks odd little thoughts
In fits and moods
The endings of love
Through your pulse and groove
My oh my oh I've
Lost it again
My oh my oh I've
Lost it again
Oh a surrender
He's got to lead the strangers
These eyes that bat
The gun that shoots
I'm In Pursuit
I'm In Pursuit
Double takes
Just run low
Its fine
A new flows
So we'll run away
We'll run away, away, away!
Oh a surrender
He's got to lead the strangers
These eyes that bat
The gun that shoots
I'm In pursuit
Im in pursuit
Together again
We're lost into
In Pursuit by The Rosenbergs is an intriguing song consisting of mysterious lyrics. The song is composed of the singer's attempt at love and the chase that comes with it. The song's opening lines "Together again, we're lost into the ride of the grins" suggest that the singer and the person they are singing about have not been taking their relationship seriously. It is as if they are not completely invested in it, and it is nothing more than a ride to them.
The following line, "Changing black and blue," hints at their relationship's ups and downs. They go from moments of extreme love ("grins") to moments of pain and confusion ("black and blue"). The singer also admits to losing control and getting carried away by their emotions, as evidenced by the repeated lines, "My oh my oh, I've lost it again."
The lines "Speaks odd little thoughts in fits and moods, the endings of love through your pulse and groove" reflect the singer's lover's unpredictable behavior, which is affecting the relationship's outcome. The third stanza says, "Oh, surrender. He's got to lead the strangers. These eyes that bat, the gun that shoots, I'm in pursuit." Here, the singer admits to being in love with someone they can't have or someone who is not fully committed to them. The gun that shoots could symbolize the pain that the singer feels from this person's lack of commitment.
