Additionally, depending on how big the person is, their size might impact their partner in more direct ways (eg: if their mobility is reduced so the partner is expected to push them in a wheelchair), which is an unfair burden.

I've been obese and had food addiction. There are underlying psychological factors and self steem issues affecting a person and usually what people need the most is to know that they are cared for and that they want for them to be healthy (not necessarilly because skinny ls beautiful). Sometimes people truly want to lose the weight but dont know how to start.... If my boyfriend had not truly been that person in my life I probably would not have done anything but drown in my food and sadness. It sounds shallow but when it comes from love, it truly is
very valuable. It is a journey to healing.

Imagine having a partner who just lets you hurt yourself without helping you grow. Yes, growth is hard and it takes time but having someone who can give you a hand and believe in you when you don't fully is amazing.

Alina is complaining, A LOT. It seems like she’s gaslighted Caleb somewhat. He was clearly shocked at her appearance, height etc. It reminded me of when Rose met Ed. I think both Alina and Ed should’ve been more honest about their physical appearance beforehand, but it sounds like they only showed themselves from the shoulders up, and then they both act hurt that Rose and Caleb are a little…shocked.
Since she would know that she did this, she should give him a little time to get used to everything, and realize that it might not work out. In person meetings, after online courtships, sometimes don’t, but especially when you haven’t been completely forthright.
Actually though - ALL of the women are complaining a lot. Probably not the best strategy for the first day they meet.
