Toda esta mierda nació hace años, cuando Julián(guitarra) y Miguel(batería) tocaban juntos en otro grupo. Nos remontamos hacia el 2.002-2.003. De esa época datan riffs de algunas de las canciones que puedes escuchar en este space. El proyecto no siguió adelante porque en ese momento estaban ocupados en otros menesteres, como su grupo principal, pero las ideas ahí quedaron para cuando hubiera tiempo. El grupo se disolvió y cada uno siguio por su camino con otras bandas, pero con la intención de recuperar esos riffs e ideas y pronto se empezó a trabajar en ello.
Allá por el 2.006 gracias a amigos comunes contactaron con Tano(bajo) y se empezaron a desarrollar más ideas y The Sand Collector iba tomando forma. Durante un tiempo, amigos de otra banda completaron la formación, con una segunda guitarra, voz y otro bajo, pero duró poco y el proyecto se volvió a aparcar, para retomarlo esta vez si de manera definitiva en 2.008. Siguieron Julián, Miguel y Tano, componiendo canciones y entró Pepe como vocalista para darle forma a los nuevos temas que iban saliendo y por fin tomar la decisión de grabar.
En 2.009 decidieron elegir 7 temas para grabar en estudio por Martín Munera y justo antes de la grabación se completa la banda con la entrada de Fer como segunda guitarra. Esto es una breve historia de la vida de The Sand Collector, no espero que te importe, pero si espero que disfrutes con la música que hacen, sino no sé que haces aquí.
