The Saturdays made their recording debut in 2007 under the record label Fascination Records, a sub-division of Polydor Records. Their debut album, Chasing Lights, produced five UK Top 25 singles. The band embarked on their first headlining UK tour, called 'The Work Tour', in June 2009.

The single was certified as Silver and sold over 285,000 copies to date. The third single was released on January 4th 2009 and was called Issues. The chorus' lyrics had to be changed as the word "slap" sounded too close to the word "stab", and the band didn't want to condone violence. It was later changed to "leave". The single entered the UK chart at #84 and peaked at #4. It managed to hit #14 in Ireland and #21 in Europe. Their fourth single, Just Can't Get Enough, was the official Comic Relief single in 2009. It's been 7 days, 50 calls, I can't lose this, I can't sleep
Cause every time you talk I stall so confusing, non excusing no
You keep me spinning baby and I'm falling
And I can't hold this in anymore
I know that we're moving too fast
I'm going deeper, deeper head over heels
I go deeper, deeper
And I hope it's for real this time
And I realize now you're in my life
Nothing matters, nothing comes in-between
I surrender now and I will not fight
What we have is only you and I
When you're gone I'm so empty
I'm waiting and I'm longing to see you again
I know that we're moving too fast
But I can't let go and it may not last but
I'm going deeper, deeper head over heels
I go deeper, deeper
And I hope it's for real this time
This is the end of holding back
And I won't quit and I won't slip
You've sent me railing off my track
And I won't slow down no
Deep deep
Going deeper
Deeper, deeper oh
Going deeper
Deeper, deeper
I know that we're moving too fast
But I can't let go and it may not last but
I'm going deeper, deeper head over heels
I go deeper, deeper
And I hope it's for real this time
And I hope it's for real this time
The song "Deeper" by The Saturdays is all about being deeply and passionately in love with someone. Throughout the lyrics, the singer talks about the overwhelming emotions she's feeling and how she can't resist the pull of the relationship, even though she acknowledges that they might be moving too fast. The phrase "deeper, deeper" is a repetition of the idea of going further and further into the relationship and falling more deeply in love. The singer is ready to let go of her reservations and give herself fully to the person she loves.
The first verse establishes the idea that the relationship is all-consuming for the singer: she can't sleep, and she can't think of anything else when the person is talking to her. In the chorus, she acknowledges that things might be moving too fast, but she can't resist going deeper into the relationship. The second verse reinforces the idea that the relationship is the most important thing in the singer's life, and she's willing to surrender to it completely. The bridge is a declaration that the singer is all in, and she's not going to back down or slow down.
