Waterfall
The Seer Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Don't turn your light down low now
Let's see what's coming at you
Let's find out who's calling your name

You're falling through the sky now
A million miles is not so high
From the place you've left behind
You should take one step at a time
Don't get tied up with the things that you find

Oh, waterfall
Where do you go?
Waterfall
Oh, waterfall
Don't take it too hard
If they can't see you flow

We circle round and round
Like a ship that can't be found, no
We're stranded somewhere out at sea

Love hides in places and leaves no traces
I wonder, where the light is in your eyes

I can't filter the words that you say
They don't mean a thing
Just take a look around you
Noone cares at all
Who lives inside this waterfall

Don't want to see you go,

Take me with you where you flow
Waterfall, waterfall, waterfall

Overall Meaning

The Seer's song "Waterfall" is a contemplative piece that carries a message of encouragement and guidance. The opening lines urge the listener to keep their light shining bright, to face whatever comes their way with courageous resolve. The singer invites the listener to join them on a journey of self-discovery, encouraging them to explore the unknown depths of their identity by finding out who is calling their name. The metaphor of falling through the sky serves as a reminder that the journey may be overwhelming, but the places left behind don't have to be limiting. The statement "A million miles is not so high" indicates that even though the path ahead might seem daunting, it's manageable if divided into manageable steps. The advice to take one step at a time is critical because the singer reminds the listener to "Don't get tied up with the things that you find."

The chorus serves as a break from the introspection with an imagery of a waterfall. The question "Where do you go?" is indicative of a state of confusion and uncertainty that can often be associated with starting a journey. When the singer says, "Don't take it too hard if they can't see you flow," it's meant to provide the encouragement needed to persist even when others might not understand the journey. The analogy of circling around and around like a lost ship at sea is an indication that when one is lost, the road ahead is often foggy, and the way is obscured. Love might be hidden in places one won't ordinarily look, and in so doing, there is a feeling of melancholy associated with the search, a sense of not being able to find one's true self. Finally, the singer tries to convey that the words one says might not be significant as the experiences that shape one's identity. "Just take a look around you, no one cares at all who lives inside this waterfall," is a reminder that the journey is personal, and one has to forge their path.

I hope they add more general upgrades for the settlement. Things like walking it off and adding gates and paving the roads with stone and sidewalks. And at least two new visual upgrades to the longhouse that way as u progress even further your town will look richer and richer

Seers hut has an explosive pot as well (if built). Directly to the right when exiting the waterfall behind the hut.

Thank you a ton for making this video, my brain simply assumed if you walked through the water the pots little on top would go out and it wouldn't work. Lol

💥💥💥 You can also use the powder trap Ability! At least that's what I did lol. I just shot an ability arrow at the top of the wall then shot the powder trap with a regular arrow. It's makes the game so much easier. Instead of having to track down a pot I can just shoot it open! Hope this helps someone further in the game ☺️

Thanks for mentioning this ability. I looked up where to find it after reading this.

This was the best of all the explanatory Valhalla videos I've seen. I love that you kept the first screw up in. Most of these videos START well past the problem point for me.
