"From the prairie city of Saskatoon, Canada come the Sheepdogs, 4 young gentlemen who revel in the joy of rock n roll so wholeheartedly, it's downright contagious. Sporting the long-haired looks of their musical forefathers, the lads make the most of their 2 guitars, bass and drums combo. Soulful vocalizations, everybody harmonizing, old-school guitar chops winding, riffing and chiming, and a grooving rhythm section that keeps it all going. Having already cemented their reputation as dynamic performers in their hometown, the Sheepdogs now turn their attention to spreading their affection for rock n roll cross-country. They have spent the last year covering the great white north, playing from Vancouver island to Montreal. They have played festivals, headlined a bill during 2007's Junofest, opened for the likes of Matt Mays and el Torpedo, and performed before thousands at 2006's Saskatoon Centennial Celebration. In January 2007 they released their debut LP Trying to Grow, a collection of guitar-driven originals that recall classic rockers like the Stones, CCR, and the Kinks. The album's title-track was featured in a province-wide campaign in their native Saskatchewan. Early 2008 has already seen the completion of their follow-up album, which mixes elements of southern rock and moody soul with gleeful straight-forward rockers. Once again, the boys are hitting the road, spreading their rock n roll revival to the rest of Canada."

The shame I can't erase
Damn those bastards all
You can't persuade them all
I miss you, some time I meet you
If only to just complete you
Ever you can't call
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
Memories they faded
Dreams of yesterday
I hate to see it's over
But forward we must go
Gettin' tired of the new one
Steppin' out for this cool one
A vicious game to play
But it had to be this way
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
Yeah
Feels like dreams of yesterday
Feels like dreams of yesterday
Feels like dreams of yesterday
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
I say now, alright, I'm okay
I got time
It helps me clear my mind
Yeah
Yesterday
Yeah, yesterday
Feels like dreams of yesterday
Feels like dreams of yesterday
The lyrics to 'Alright OK' by The Sheepdogs explore the theme of moving on from the past, accepting the way things are, and finding peace in the present. The opening lines, "Tears run down my face, the shame I can't erase, damn those bastards all, you can't persuade them all" convey a sense of regret and frustration with the past. The singer is struggling with the consequences of his actions, and feels like he cannot change the outcome.
The second verse, "Memories they faded, dreams of yesterday, I hate to see it's over, but forward we must go" captures the realization of the singer that life is moving on, and he must let go of the past to move forward. The chorus serves as a reminder to the singer to stay positive and calm down, using the phrase "alright, I'm okay" to acknowledge his feelings while also reassuring himself that everything will be okay.
The final verse, "Gettin' tired of the new one, steppin' out for this cool one, a vicious game to play, but it had to be this way" expresses a certain level of cynicism towards the future, as the singer has learned from past experiences that life can often be a "vicious game". Overall, 'Alright OK' is a poignant reflection on the human experience, and the struggles we all face when trying to come to terms with our past and move forward.
