"From the prairie city of Saskatoon, Canada come the Sheepdogs, 4 young gentlemen who revel in the joy of rock n roll so wholeheartedly, it's downright contagious. Sporting the long-haired looks of their musical forefathers, the lads make the most of their 2 guitars, bass and drums combo. Soulful vocalizations, everybody harmonizing, old-school guitar chops winding, riffing and chiming, and a grooving rhythm section that keeps it all going. Having already cemented their reputation as dynamic performers in their hometown, the Sheepdogs now turn their attention to spreading their affection for rock n roll cross-country. They have spent the last year covering the great white north, playing from Vancouver island to Montreal. They have played festivals, headlined a bill during 2007's Junofest, opened for the likes of Matt Mays and el Torpedo, and performed before thousands at 2006's Saskatoon Centennial Celebration. In January 2007 they released their debut LP Trying to Grow, a collection of guitar-driven originals that recall classic rockers like the Stones, CCR, and the Kinks. The album's title-track was featured in a province-wide campaign in their native Saskatchewan. Early 2008 has already seen the completion of their follow-up album, which mixes elements of southern rock and moody soul with gleeful straight-forward rockers. Once again, the boys are hitting the road, spreading their rock n roll revival to the rest of Canada."

Feeling Good
The Sheepdogs Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Or could you blow my mind?
'Cause the heat is up
Already passed over time
Well I'm here to say
I got a better way
Nothing brings me down
With how I feel today
Yeah I'm feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat just like you know I would
Yeah I'm feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat
Yeah
Back and forth again
With my rememberin'
Tell me who, or what, why, or where and when?
Comin' back this time
I gotta know the rhyme
And I feel the clear
Never gon' take what's mine
Feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat just like you know I would
Yeah I'm feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat
Yeah
Back and forth again
With my rememberin'
Well I guess losers go
Money will make amends
Well I'm here to say
I got a better way
Nothing brings me down
With how I feel today
Feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat just like you know I would
Yeah I'm feelin' good
Oh, like you know I should
Got the pressure beat
Yeah
The lyrics of "Feeling Good" by The Sheepdogs encourage listeners to feel positive and confident, to not let anyone or anything bring them down. The song is a representation of somebody who is in a good mood and feels empowered. The artists ask if the listener is close to being in the same state of mind or if they can "blow their mind" with their positive energy. They feel confident in their abilities to beat the pressure and keep up their good vibes. The lyrics show that the singer has encountered obstacles, but also that they have found a better way to live their life, and they will not allow themselves to be taken advantage of.
The song has an upbeat tempo, and the use of repetition in the lyrics highlights the message of the song. The chorus is repeated throughout, reassuring the listener to keep feeling good just like they know they should. The use of rhetorical questions such as "who, what, why, or where and when?" help engage the listeners to interpret the song in their own way. The song presents an image of somebody who has been through tough times, but who is determined to move forward with a positive outlook and high energy.

I love the retro early 70's look and sound of these guys! so many memories!! :-)
@jmmacb03
Does "retro" mean that they can sing in tune and are actual musicians? Then count me in—even though I am still trying to find great, new music... >sigh<... ✌
@LenapeSF
Long time admirer of Canadian music: Neil Young, The Guess Who, Tragically Hip, Dead South, etc. The music & video: 10+ in my opinion. This still sounds good in summer 2020 & beyond. Totally uber-smitten with the music/video. Everyone--be safe/have fun, however that works out!
