"From the prairie city of Saskatoon, Canada come the Sheepdogs, 4 young gentlemen who revel in the joy of rock n roll so wholeheartedly, it's downright contagious. Sporting the long-haired looks of their musical forefathers, the lads make the most of their 2 guitars, bass and drums combo. Soulful vocalizations, everybody harmonizing, old-school guitar chops winding, riffing and chiming, and a grooving rhythm section that keeps it all going. Having already cemented their reputation as dynamic performers in their hometown, the Sheepdogs now turn their attention to spreading their affection for rock n roll cross-country. They have spent the last year covering the great white north, playing from Vancouver island to Montreal. They have played festivals, headlined a bill during 2007's Junofest, opened for the likes of Matt Mays and el Torpedo, and performed before thousands at 2006's Saskatoon Centennial Celebration. In January 2007 they released their debut LP Trying to Grow, a collection of guitar-driven originals that recall classic rockers like the Stones, CCR, and the Kinks. The album's title-track was featured in a province-wide campaign in their native Saskatchewan. Early 2008 has already seen the completion of their follow-up album, which mixes elements of southern rock and moody soul with gleeful straight-forward rockers. Once again, the boys are hitting the road, spreading their rock n roll revival to the rest of Canada."

I Need Help
The Sheepdogs Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
For some strange love
Hope you come along
Keep me from danger
And I've been loosing
More than I gave in
Just like ever day I'm outside
I need help
I need help
So bad
There's a sound dear
That I keep hearing
It was once all so peer
Just appearing
When it comes to me
I keep those moves
That's the time now baby
On the world to do
I need help
I need help
So bad
I need help
I need help
I need help
So bad
I need help
I need help
I need help
I need help
I need help
The lyrics to The Sheepdogs' song "I Need Help" convey a sense of vulnerability and desperation. The singer expresses a longing for love, specifically a "strange love," implying a desire for something different or unique. They hope that this love will come into their life and protect them from danger.
The second verse suggests the singer's frustration and feelings of defeat. They feel like they are constantly losing something, perhaps in relationships or in life in general. They compare this feeling to being outside on a rainy day, where everything seems gloomy and hopeless. However, there is also a ray of hope in these lyrics. The mention of the rain stopping suggests that there might be moments of respite or relief from their struggles.
The repeated refrain, "I need help so bad," emphasizes the singer's plea for assistance. They acknowledge their own vulnerability and admit that they cannot overcome their challenges alone. The song expresses a deep yearning for support and a desire to break free from their current situation.
Overall, "I Need Help" reflects the universal human experience of longing for love, feeling lost, and desperately seeking assistance. It captures the emotions of vulnerability, frustration, and hope in a way that many listeners can relate to.
