Another incredible performance by Lucy Thomas of another Chris Broom masterpiece.
Lucy delivers this song and its message with a sensitivity, power and beauty that only she possesses, and her live performance is even more captivating than her studio recording.
There is something magical about Lucy and her singing. She doesn’t just sing the words, she projects the emotions and meanings and gives wings to the written words. I listen to Lucy’s songs over and over again, and each time I hear and feel something new.
I can’t wait for the announcement of the date of the Rosie opening, and will fly from New York to be there - hopefully for opening night.
I’m 78 years old now - and took my granddaughter to London this past week to celebrate her 16th birthday - I am now anxious to return to London to witness the magic of Lucy Thomas.
My final thought on this performance is that it is just further proof that Lucy Thomas is the most gifted and magical singer of her generation, and I think even past generations. And I would add that she seems to also be a wonderful young woman.
