Their version of Beatles' Got To Get You Into My Life, is often played on the Iain Lee show on Absolute Radio in the UK as a music-bed. Iain tends to perform karaoke over the top, either as an intro to the next call or a segué between songs. Iain also uses other examples of their work as music-beds.

Tina Turner's documentary sent me here. I have to say, this song was DEFINITELY meant for her. Even as much as she hated it, she made this song TIMELESS.
Brian Frank
I can see now what Tina meant when she said she didn’t like the song when she first heard it. This version is such a beginner level of performances. Tina took it to super star #1 hit status.

Bucks Fizz' version just sounds like the adolescent contrarianism of a nerdish incel. Turner's version sounds like it's coming from a woman who's truly lived, loved, and accrued wisdom.
Dee Moore
Tina Turner did for this song what Whitney Houston did for I will always love you. She took it to next level! Major understatement.

Yeah not a good comparison. Dolly’s song was damn good. There both good but different.
Scott Baldwin
Ironically, both artists you mentioned had Kygo collabs, Whitney's being her cover of Higher Love being turned into a Tropical House hit.
Piotr Szostak
as well as Cher did with Heart of stone, first sung by Bucks Fizz, or Agnetha Faltskog from ABBA did with the Love in a world gone mad !
Laura H
Dolly's original version was never meant to be a power pop ballad. I love Whitney Houston's singing but I did not care for her interpretation of Dolly's song, as it lost all meaning in the way she did it.
John Thibodeaux
You are wrong!
Lorrie Blake
I actually like this...classic 80s UK pop!
