Resin
The Supervillains Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Resin...you stick to my fingers
But you get me high and you get me by
And so, I figure...whoa

Resin...you burn from black to white, whoa
But you last me long, when all my weed is gone
And so, I figure...whoa
I think I will keep you around
Just in case my weed supply is down.
But now if I really want to get all fuckin' stoned
I gotta mix you with the BKF.
And now I know what to do when Mary is gone
I just hook up with her invisible friend Resin
And now I know what to do when Mary is gone
I just hook up with her invisible friend Resin

Heaven...the smell of your hair lingers
But you stay all night, even when we fight
And so, I figure...whoa

Resin...you stick to my fingers
But you get me high and you get me by
And so, I figure...whoa

I think I will keep you around
Just in case my weed supply is down.
But now if I really want to get all fuckin' stoned
I gotta mix you with the BKF.
So now I know what to do when Mary is gone
I just hook up with her invisible friend Resin
And I say I know what to do when Mary is gone

I know what to do when Mary is gone
I just hook up with her invisible friend Resin
And I say I know what to do when Mary is gone
I just hook up with her invisible friend Resin

..whoa

Overall Meaning

The Supervillains' song Resin is a humorous take on the use of marijuana and the utility of its byproduct, resin. Resin is a sticky substance that accumulates on the inside of smoking equipment, such as pipes or bongs, and is a byproduct of the flower of the cannabis plant. The lyrics describe resin as a substitute for marijuana when the user's supply runs low. The song also suggests mixing resin with BKF, a common household cleaner, to enhance its effects.

The chorus of the song makes reference to the stickiness of the resin ("Resin...you stick to my fingers"), but also acknowledges its potency ("you get me high and you get me by"). The singer of the song is essentially saying that while resin is not as good as marijuana, it can get the job done when necessary.

The song also makes reference to a relationship with a woman named Mary, who is presumably the source of the singer's marijuana supply. The chorus mentions that even when Mary is gone, the singer still has resin to fall back on.

Overall, the song is a lighthearted ode to the sometimes unconventional methods people use to get high.

Good song to toke resin to. Haha. It makes you feel way better and not nearly as fiendish about it.

@agentstaple1

+CannaToker420 Am I the only one who actually really enjoys resin? It always gives me a weird head high. and no it's not from Butane cause I smoke it like you'd smoke crack. And no it's not crack :D

@elysseepperson3721

CannaToker420 lol!

@nickwaffle397

Lol when you say like crack, do you mean off a can? That's how I smoke it. Or with a tin foil boil. But I know what you mean, like it's more like a head rush than weed high, but really intensified right? Sometimes when I have migraines I flat out prefer resin to bud.

@demonjmh

Lol for real though wanna get high and listen to music but I don't wanna listen to music about actual weed because it'll just make me wish I was smoking bud instead of resin

@wolfhound7919

So cool to see these dudes making their music in this day and age. First time I ever heard most of them play was the High School talent competition 1997, St. Cloud High. Awesome.

@grinddelosmontes9444
