Military
The T4 Project Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Unsure what to do with your life?
Do you feel you haven't been supplied with a full enough education?
Have you ever dreamt of killing someone?
In the military
Everything will be laid out for you
So you'll no longer have to think for yourself
The T4 Project's song "Military" is a scathing critique of the educational system's relationship with the military. The lyrics depict a society in which young people are disillusioned and searching for purpose, and the military is presented as a seeming solution to their problems. The line "Are you feeling lost? Unsure what to do with your life?" speaks to the aimlessness that many young people experience, and the military is positioned as an alternative to a lack of direction. The line "Do you feel you haven't been supplied with a full enough education?" highlights the systemic failures of the educational system, which many argue does not adequately prepare students for life beyond the classroom.
The most disturbing line in the song is perhaps "Have you ever dreamt of killing someone? In the military." The suggestion that the military is a place where people can fulfill their violent fantasies is alarming and highlights the dark underbelly of military culture. However, the song also acknowledges the appeal of the military, as it promises to "lay everything out for you" so that individuals "will no longer have to think for themselves." Ultimately, "Military" is a call to action to address the root causes of the societal issues that make the military an attractive option for so many young people.

This is one of the least-known, least talked about soviet aircraft and I think it's one of the most unique and interesting planes that ever came out of Russia. It didn't live up to everything it was envisioned to do, but it did exist and fly, which is more than can be said for most of these whacky secretive/prototype aircraft from around the time of the cold war.

@Old Guy Gaming Network This makes me start to doubt whether the US has really ever been on the moon. Unpacking with landing on the moon, then never had the opportunity to do that again. By that I mean really set foot on the moon. So show us really that it's possible, in the 21st century. But, you can't. Certainly not without the Russians.

@lemayo you know, just that comment alone says you have no clue about a subject, just blind prejudice...Ignorance is not something to be proud of,especially not mixed with arrogance.
It was abandoned because finance for it have been cut during Gorbachov and later after fall apart of USSR there was no more money for it....something that anyone with even slightest of knowledge about that period should know.

My grandfather worked at Sukhoi during the T-4 days as the director of the test flights of the Su24/25/27. He knew about the T-4 project quite well and how the built it in full titanium

@the love bugs Tbh same, my grandpa would always tell me stories about aviation. He wasnโt directly involved in the T-4. However, he heard that the Sukhoi bureau had quite a few issues during the development of the titanium frame. He was the director of test flights at sukhoi but his main aircraft were the Su24, 25 and 27. He knew test pilots like Vladimir Ilyushin and was quite friendly with them. He would also feel very bad if one of his test pilots got injured in test or died in test

Walter... I would like to more about your grandfather and his experience. I have been an aviation enthusiast since I was a young boy and one does not get such an opportunity to learn from someone so close to the topic. I don't know how PM works on YouTube, but if you have the time, I would like to hear more about it.
Thanks

I'm not sure, but I think this bomber was built on the basis of the Tu-144 supersonic passenger aircraft, so it could share some similarities like speed, size and overall dimensions.
