Who Put the Bomp
The Teenagers & Frankie Lymon Lyrics

I put the bomp
In the bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp
And I put the ram in the
Ram a dam a ding dong
And I put the ooh in the
Ooh wah wah
And I put the dumb in the
Dumb dumb didly dumb
And I was that man
Come on and shake my hand
If your baby fell in love with you

when you be with her
Bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp
If you put it right into her heart
And when she heard me singing
Ram a ram a ram a ram a ram a ding dong
She said you never had to part

I put the bomp
In the bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp
And I put the ram in the
Ram a dam a ding dong
And I put the ooh in the
Ooh wah wah
And I put the dumb in the
Dumb dumb didly dumb
I was that man
So come on and shke my hand
If your baby fell in love with you

when you were alone
Boogidie boogidie boogidie boogidie boogidie shoop
Set your babys heart on the floor
And every time you dance to
Dip da dip da dip dip da dip da dip
She always says that she loves you so

I put the bomp
In the bomp bomp bomp bomp bomp
And I put the ram in the
Ram a dam a ding dong
And I put the ooh in the
Ooh wah wah
And I put the dumb in the
Dumb dumb didly dumb
I was that man
So come on and shke my hand
If your baby fell in love with you

David Jones

Does the opening vocal harmony remind anyone else of "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?"

Doctor Feinstone

@Anthony Gomez it's not the same group. Its just frankie by himself

WOFAI ELOMA

Not every song they sing starts like that, but some of the songs bring parts of it back in. Why do fools fall in love really was one of his most successful. They split, he is no longer with the Teenagers here, he went solo, he is older here. Him on his attempt to come back. He has such a lovely older tone and not too many guys sing like that anymore. However he was never as popular as he was when his voice was high during his younger ages and this hurt him greatly but this didnt happen much, so he never got to do what artists like Micheal Jackson did and some other young male artists.

I think that was the point, Frankie Lymon is singing the song.

Anthony Gomez

David Jones yeah it's the same group I bet every song of there's starts with that

Roland Soule

This is, in fact Frankie Lymon, in an attempted come back after his voice had changed and a temporary clean up from his drug habit.

SMT99

I think he sounds better when he's older to be honest

Gregory May

Miss titled this. The title is "I PUT THE BOMP". It's a reply song to the original, "Who Put the Bomp"

Most importantly one of the first where no matter where you came from or how much you had anyone could make themselves a future, even the poorest of people.Class didnt define music, and race didnt define music, sound and profit defined music.
